Glad you talked to a vet first! And that is the correct way to wash a baby not just dump them in a bunch of water. But please get rid of the Christmas music! You look like you’re doing a pretty good job so far. Give her a medium size plush soft animal that she can hold onto and sleep with. They need that. And good job of keeping her on your tummy as they don’t like being on their backs. Keep her upright when feeding her to so she doesn’t have the milk go down the wrong tube. If it comes out of her nose that means it’s going down the wrong tube into her lungs. Just an FYI
Please continue to let her suck her thumb. She is sucking her thumb to learn how to soothe herself. This is natural and there isn’t a thing wrong with it. As long as you keep her hands clean, then it’s absolutely ok to let her suck her thumb/fingers. If she should get a blister on her thumb, you need to immediately clean it, keep it dry, and put antibiotic ointment on the area. As she grows older, she will suck her thumb less and less. If you don’t want her to suck her thumb then you need to get her a newborn sized pacifier. DO NOT TAPE HER HANDS to keep her from sucking her thumb. Taping their hands causes more stress and anxiety. Please take good care of this precious baby. She is adorable! ❤🥰

There is no problem with sucking her thumb, older monkeys still do and I saw one in the wild on RUclips sucking theirs as a baby.
