More trees have grown and their branches and leaves have grown, so the gorillas have plenty of places to hide. It's not easy for the photographer, though. The gorillas are quick to hide. But from the viewpoint of animal welfare, it is a very good thing. Momotaro and Genki are a couple who stay close to each other. Today, Momotaro was a little closer to Genki, and Genki was staring at Momotaro.

Father MOMOTARO ♂(2000/7/3)
He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAKK.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

Genki seems in better health lately so as long as she can tolerate another baby I’m all for it. It would be good for Kintaro too as he will be so bored when Gentaro leaves to start his own family 🤞. Just worried about Genki’s ongoing health and advanced maternal age more or less but she appears Healthier than she has in years lately. Hoping for a baby girl if it happens !!!!🎉 🦍♥️

駅で電車を待っていたらスカートの中に蚊が入ってきたらしく、太ももを2カ所刺されて痛い。ゴリラ舎に蚊はいますか？ゴリラは蚊に刺されると思いますか？
It Depends on the smell..🤔.You can repell mosquitos by making rosmary water. 👍Take dried rosmary (a bottle of it from spice shelf) & boil for 5 min in 1 liter of water. Let it sit untill cooled, strain it, & fill a spraybottle of Your choice..spray often whenever going to "mosquito place"..apply to animals as well, as it repells ticks as well! 👍 Blessings 🙏🕊️🌟

According to her zookeeper, a vet checks her uriine on a regular basis to clarify if she is in heat or not.
As you introduce, she dances like that whenever she come into estrus. For now, no dance at all. Genki will turn 38 on June 24.
The limit to conceive is approaching. In short, at most within another two years. Over 40, it may be impossible and at the same time it must be risky for her health condition.

Same room. But recently Gentaro wants to be alone and the zookeepers prepare a room for him.
Я надеюсь, зоопарк не допустит рождения нового ребенка. Старая самка, которая может не выдержать родов по здоровью. Плюс двое детей, один из них уже взрослый и мало для всех места. Кроме этого, если у Генки начнется течка, неизвестно, как себя будет вести Гентаро.

Does Gentaro steal food from Genki like Kiyo from the Shabani ground does to his Mom? I have never seen a video of Gentaro doing such a thing.
He used to do it but not recently. They keep a proper distance in a good sense. Unexpectedly Gentaro tends to spend away from Genki although he pesters her at times.
