I loved this video so much; thank you for filming - I know you said you probably wouldn't. I had a ticket but my flight got signigficantly delayed (thanks for nothing, Frontier airlines! 🤬) and I just couldnt do it (stay up all night and be functional for 8 AM basically) So anyway this video made me feel like I was there! It looks like you had fun - I wish you had had more time to explore FL/USA. You have so many people here that absolutely adore you! Thanks PlantHaul! I was only there for a couple of days so can’t really say much about that at large but there was a store called PuraVida nearby with all my favourite drinks & fresh food 🙌🙌 they saved me !

Wow! I just love the variegated exotic plants at that plant show. Even the petioles were yellow in some cases. They all looked so healthy.
Jan, about a quarter of the world's species of carnivorous plants come from the USA in boggy areas, ranging from the tropics all the way to the Aleutian Islands near Alaska where there are active volcanoes. Start small with butterworts (Pinguiculas) and sun dews (Drosera). They catch a lot of small flies and gnats and aren't nearly as fussy as some other carnivorous plants are.

42:30 with that music I was imagining you on a catwalk showing off your plants😆⭐🌿 With a vining plant, you could flick it around when you walk back, after posing with a sassy look😆
Ecuagenera wraps the plants in the plastic with moss wrapped around the roots. I had my first experience this year to see it and buy one at the Orchid Fest 2024. I purchased a Anthurium Pendens AF and as suspected the roots were rotted. So, buyers beware just know buying those in plastic like that the roots will most likely be rotted. The good news 6 weeks later she’s growing roots back and I only lost 2 leaves.
In general though, roots can be trimmed prior to planting anyway, as the plants just grow new ones…
Yeah heard mixed things about them but all the people I asked at the show said they settle in quite nicely despite the crazy wrapping! Just never seen this done here !

That $10,000 one was spectacular. Imagine being able to pay that much! I love that they had so many baby ones available, rather than just big beautiful and expensive. Overall, what were the prices like?
Tbh I didn’t look at the pricing much because I just told my brain to focus on the people, not the plants! But I saw amazin sunsets for $40 which is 100% the one I’d take home!! All the variegatiok is great but I just love my velvets :)
