Just thinking about how much the perfection of every shot must have taken... Every part of a shot has had to be designed and animated to the level of reality. These people, i wish i had the knowledge and skill, i wish i was them
This is one of those movies that gets it, kinda like Jurassic Park. Some things should be CGI (ie. Lizard), but some things look MUCH better when they're actually there (ie. webswinging). Honestly, the CG in this movie was stunning, I had no idea that the ENTIRE fight in the school hallway was done on a computer, I assumed it was just Lizard.
From what I've heard, he did what stunts he could, but they still used stuntmen for the really dangerous stuff (ie. swinging onto a moving 16-wheeler while suspended 20 feet over a bridge).
What do you call the all grey portion of the animation process? That part is the coolest looking I think because you HAVE to focus on the texture of the characters and objects. It's really quite beautiful in that stage.
The would just do what most movies now do. For intense stuff that can't be done in real life, re-create the set digitally and do an unnoticeable (seamless) jumpcut to the digital where no faces are seen then jumpcut to the next peice of filming, etc. but also most parkour scenes should be cgi as a lot of Assassin's Creed stunts are impossible.
its not animated, they basically did the same thing they did in avengers for the hulk as they did for the lizard. they use the actor's body movements and use the technology to incorporate the lizard onto him
Because it's a cartoon! Think about it...If the movie would look exactly like real life, you wouldn't buy any of the crazy stunts that sometimes happen in cartoons
You can't, if you make a cgi movie with realistic faces, they look just odd enough for the human brain to find them creepy. It's called the Uncanny Vally effect. If Spiderman had taken off his mask in that shot, it would have instantly looked fake.
The detail in this movie was so beautiful
