    this is amazing, had no idea there were so many deathcore acts in the 90s, at least we both agree damonacy was the first one lol. such a completely different genre that should totally get a revival imo. on the other hand, it seems that the 00s deathcore is going through a revival around late 10s/early 20s

    The earlier bands werent deathcore, mostly NYDM. But they did have influince on the genre. Damonacy and End of One are some of my fav NYDM bands, but if youre including them, you should also include Suffocation and Internal Bleeding, since they are also NYDM bands, and IB had a lot of hxcx influince. Both being extremely influential to deathcore. I don't think damonancy is deathcore, nor many of the early bands. Death metal with hxcx influince ≠ deathcore

    I see a lot of people complaining about not including Suicide Silence, Whitechapel and Chelsea Grin. But I can see why they weren’t included 1) They’re bigger label bands and copyright sucks. 2)They were able to find a smaller band that encompassed the sound of that year just as well. In the end music is about discovery. If this was all giant bands it’d be bland and like every other list.

For example I know the deathcore after 2005 pretty well and I wanted to listen to some precursors. it always felt that deathcore tried to introduce more technicality to its sound at one point but i am SO glad it went straight back to the basics of the early 2000s sound. tracheotomy is one of my favorite bands right now and i am so glad to see them on this list!

      Dude tracheotomy is awesome! If you like the old school throwback stuff you also have to check out slamwhich (badass female vocalist with incredible riffs/breakdowns) and tactosa! (Suicide silence throwback) 🤘🏻

    I wonder where all these dudes now in the early years of deathcore ngl, these dudes seem chill af, I would smoke a few blunts with Rose Funeral and Molotav Solution. those dudes seem hella cool and down to earth by their looks and music they put out

    Why do you think this is deathcore and not death metal?

    • @juliogonzalez2880
      @juliogonzalez2880  10 месяцев назад +6

      because it has hardcore elements in it

      Didn't hear any hardcore elements in the first few songs. Sounded like 90s death metal. @@juliogonzalez2880
