The skinny sticks are also called coffee stirs I believe. Just have to get the ones with the flat end or cut off the round ends. You can also buy them in bulk on Amazon! ( They my be cheaper to buy them as disposable coffee stirs versus looking for them in a craft store. They certainly mark up stuff that they know we are using for crafts at seems.)
You could try to use chalk paint on the carpet to make it pink. I have seen people use chalk paint on fabric furniture to give it a new look. You water down the paint so it’s not stiff then apply with a wetted chalk paint brush.
I often buy either the elmer's craft sticks or if I cant find them I will get wood coffee stirrers, they are the same length and width. Both can still be iffy to find because they are perfect craft supplies but if you order the coffee stirrers off of Amazon they are about $5.50 for a big box!
Ok on your pink bedroom floor, I have used a heavy card stock and cut a template of the floor then careful using spray glue, glued down a pink thinner hand towel as carpet. It worked beautifully as a loop carpet.

Hi, enjoyed the information. Is there any way you can tell me where to get plans for a dollhouse? I have searched the internet and can only find kits. I need just the plans. Thanks, David
great job. I'm going through ALL your videos. extremely helpful. can't wait to see. your finished product! I am building the Orchid by Greenleaf. nice to meet you, I'm Kari. ... hope to hear from you
+KARI BLEAM Nice to meet you too, and thank you. I also have a Facebook page that has lots of pictures if you want to see more of the Beacon Hill dollhouse in the works. My facebook page is Dollhouse Miniature Madness and Tutorials and my Pinterest page is Laurie Holden-Heisler.
Where'd you find that fabric at 1:26? I need it for my Leafeon art doll! Would the "popsicle stick" method prevent a door from swinging in and out? I want to use it for my dollhouse's front porch but I'm afraid the door might get stuck and not open.

I mean, it isn’t completely accurate to say that popsicle sticks don’t meet the 1:12 scale requirements. I’ve seen 12” wide hardwood in real life (not commonly but it does exist) so I’m not sure why the width of a popsicle stick wouldn’t work for a slightly wider planked hardwood. But these are great flooring ideas nonetheless! Thanks :)
I guess you are right,, floors can be any size these days. However, I was measuring wooden floors that are narrow not wide when comparing the two floors. You can also use 7" coffee stirring sticks, they are cheaper than skinny sticks and they are much more uniform in shape then a popsicle stick or a skinny stick.

I actually made some with the ones from Amazon. You can use a 3 in 1 multi cut tool to cut them.
@@DollhouseTutorials Thank you for that tip and for your videos!!!
Office supply store maybe good wqy
I think dollar stores sell them now too, and in the past I've seen coffee stir sticks at Costco

Great idea ♡♡♡♡
Probably too late, but if you still want pink you could always try getting the fabric in white or a pale colour and dying it with fabric dye.
Mine I bought at dollar store you found in party area .. Coffee stirrer.
Could you use wooden coffee stirrers instead of skinny sticks?
I have seen people do that. :)
Absolutely, if you look at my sewing room floor it was done in 7" coffee stirring sticks
I bought a mini vacuum off Amazon that’s the perfect size and power for dollhouses.
thank you soooo much. I have a dollhouse from the 70s I'm trying to remodel.

d1027j harris this was a Greenleaf kit that we modified. We used the main walls then added an addition to the dollhouse.

Rosie Johnson Joanne Fabrics, the door would depend on the door you used.
This video is really going to help me thank you! X
Coffee stirs are on Amazon and come 1,000 in a box. The price is very reasonable too.
I ended up finding them much later after this video. Coffee stirring sticks are even better for me as well. Thank you
