I just found this channel and I can't say how much I love it. You have such a soft, sweet, relaxing voice and it is a pleasure just to listen to you. I recently purchased an enormous (but battered) doll house that I would like to refurbish and decorate in the same 1900s style that you are using in your boarding house. I have only watched a few of your videos so far but I have already learned so many wonderful techniques and I can't wait to see more and adapt them to my own dollhouse.
Welcome to Little Gretchen's workshop! I'm so glad to have you here! I'm excited to hear about your dollhouse! Battered and enormous is how i felt about this house when i !st got it! I LOVE Dollhouse Restorations! Definitely check out my Flashback pictures so you can see how much things have changed over these few months! I'm looking forward to hearing more about Your Dollhouse and it's progress! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for being honest about your struggles and what doesn't work out the way you thought it would. I was working on my minis last night and telling myself, "Trust the process." Sure enough, as I kept going, it started to look better. :) Thank you for helping me stay calm and have fun!
Thank you Queen! I always struggled with how I would finish the base on that side of the house. It seemed like a waste not to include it in the room design. I finally made the "executive decision" to extend it! I'm really glad I did now i know how to complete the rest of the base! Thank for watching!
looking great! I have to say, I know that feeling of frustration and wanting to rip it all out and either saying "forget it!" or "I'll just start over!"
The floors are very tedious to do but a little love and semi-hard work they can come out marvelous like mine!!! And of course I know part 2 of the video we will see another fabulous floor!!! We are counting down the days until the celebratory Party day!!!
Haha I don't like math either! Your method works for me! Lol. This looks nice!😄 A friend of mine made a really simple wood floor using older dollhouse shingles too. But your design is what I had in mind for my house. Thank you!
The stain is going to really bring out the grain on the shingles, what a great idea! The pattern is perfect for the space. I can't wait for the party, you know that, but I'm excited to see everything between now and then. I hope I'm at the top of that waiting list! ;)
Thank you Cassandra! And yes the stain really makes it pop and come to life! I'm excited about the party too! This floor is the most tedious part so I'm trying to finish it this week!
Well this is a process isn't it!?!? But I trust it.😊..no criticism here.. bc I know how these projects can be and what it takes...But love the encouragement bc that's important especially when your feeling frustrated and ready to just throw in the towel...exactly what I just went thru while working on one of my projects. BUT, Tiny Friends don't give up.. just keep pushing through..it will come to you and all come together!🥰 sometimes these projects take time and a bit of brain power to figure out!🥰

Beautiful! I love how you extended the floor outside the dollhouse onto the base to make more room.

Lololol! I have Always looked for a math work around, it's really terrible. I'm trying to become more disciplined to be a better example to My Dolls!
I do hope you try the shingle floor method in your house, please let me know how it goes!
That's a pretty ambitious project!!
