Hi! Your videos are straight-fire! I am learning Canadian English. Is it the same, or do I waste my time?
I love that phrase “straight fire”🔥 🙂🔥. English is the same language in every country but of course there is a difference in accents and a few phrases but no you will not be wasting your time here. If you go through the videos on this channel your English will definitely improve. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

sorry I don’t know what this means 🤷♂️
Cheers, what's the damage please? 😂😂😂
£8.72p please 😁
What is the difference between ' sort and kind , please?
Great question and the quick answer is almost nothing you can usually swap sort and kind as well as the word type.
But there is sometimes a different feel to the use of these words where
‘type‘ usually means a precisely defined category. ie what is your blood type
‘sort‘ is more general, often about character rather than definition and can be used in a negative way e.g. What sort of person would do a terrible thing like that?
‘kind‘ is about half way between, usually referring to named kinds or large categories or families of things that are naturally related.
But again you can't really go very wrong using any . Hope this helps Steve
Many thanks💙
Hi Steve, I fancy cod please 😍

Ohhh steve prabhu.... I'm vegetarian.....
Then it’s a big bag of chips and a portion of mushy peas for you my friend 😁
Absolutely rubbish you are just teaching people slang there is nothing wrong pronouncing the words as they are you are over complicating things
Wayne thanks for your considered comment. the whole purpose of this channel is to help non English speakers communicate easily and effectively within the UK. Whether you, or I for that matter, agree with modern vernacular and pronunciation, which you may term 'slang' is really irrelevant as it is being used and will continue to be used.
The number one issue that I am told by literally all of my many students is that although they are taught formal English and grammar they constantly fail to understand native, fast British conversations. My channel attempts to address that.
As you can see from the comments from actual English language learners on here for this particular video, they seem to agree with me.
Again thanks for commenting. Steve
What can i get you is a grammatical mistake
Whilst technically true, it’s used every day. The purpose of my channel is to teach ESL learners how to understand English spoken by native British speakers ( The clue is in the name of the channel) not to pass a grammar exam. Thanks for commenting - Steve
