You gotta do more than just put a damn banjo on the track in order for it to be country. This project is going for an aesthetic instead of expressing authenticity. That's wack. I wish she genuinely loved and appreciated country music, but it is clear that this is a publicity stunt. Just doing something different for attention, not expression. And it just so happened to be released around rodeo season? Cmon now. Very obvious.

DARIUS RUCKER. JIMMIE ALLEN. BRITTNEY SPENCER and a plethora of other country singers of color that have been doing it for years yet I have never seen anyone put a spotlight on them until Beyonce wants to sing it and this is sad and biased. Beyonce's songs have nothing to do with country music. Its a lifestyle and a state of mind and not just a banjo playing in the back that makes country music. This is NOT it!

A banjo and whistling isn’t country. But sure, if it helps her sleep at night - shrugs -…and for the news channel, people like Darius Rucker, etc have ALWAYS been country and welcomed in country music. One sided reporting doesn’t help your story, either.

Where do you guys find your guest? The girl in the glasses flat out lied- contradicted herself. She forgot she told us in the beginning that she grew up listening/ hearing different country artist. Then she turned around & said that she didn't listen to country till she moved to Texas 2 yrs ago. Being extra is not necessary to be on the local news ma'am.
