It’s a great question. We’ve been there 3 times and have never left the port. I guess the biggest reason is safety. When we first went to Belize on a cruise several years ago, leaving the port wasn’t advised. So I guess we have fallen into a rut and spend our excursion budget on other ports. We really would like to fly to Belize and spend several days there away from the cruise port.
William evans jr it’s not the softest sand I’ve walked on and there are rocks here and there. But I didn’t wear any type of water shoes and I Had no problems. I also have very sensitive feet. Haha.
