- This Exeter City Tour was highly requested (I filmed what I could) and I hope it helps you guys know what to expect from student life at Exeter University!
👑ABOUT THIS VIDEO👑
In this vlog you can find the following tour:
- we start at John Lewis, the meeting point of most Exeter students
- then we turn right and go down highstreet where you can find different shops, banks and supermarkets
- once we've done the whole street we go back and visit Exeter's cathedral
- from there we go to Princesshay, Exeter's shopping center and look around at the different shops in there
- then we go to Queen's street and look around guild hall
- we finish on the bus to campus where I kiss you guys goodbye!

something you forgot is the street going down next to urban outfiters. there is now always a person with a sign pointing down there with the sign saying 'vintage clothing stores' there are loads of aesthetic/weird clothing shops down there that I love! seems like a sketchy place but its fun to look around

It's called Gandy Street and is the inspiration for one of the streets from Harry Potter (JK Rowling was a student at Exeter university) I'm not a fan of Harry Potter so I don't know what street.

Good video! I was born in St Thomas ,Exeter but I have lived abroad for many years.I have not been back for ages and this video reminds me of my time there although some shops have vanished and new ones have opened up.I certainly miss it at times especially the summers with Dawlish Warren and Exmouth so near by.
Sooo many things have changed! Even in the past 4 years it is crazy!

Nice video. My major concern is the lack of canopy cover in urban areas. If you take a look at Queen street you might as well call it Grey street. No trees or planters - it is a rather boring street with zero nature value. I hope to change this with the support of the ECC team in the future

I am so sorry I didnt see it and i am even more sorry that I didnt do that video HOWEVER you find plenty of cute secret coffee shops near the cathedral if you are willing to explore!

How do you get to the key from exeter central station
John Brownbill exactly, they need to have a downtown area with buildings, this is same mundane small area you will find in any small english town and city with a high street that they call city centre and same ugly terraced houses and small narrow roads
@John Brownbill as an american, it seems reasonably compact and user friendly as far as shops and markets and level of activity The high street concept is something the UK does well.

Hello! It depends for what exactly! This gave me an idea: how about I go into the shops on campus and do a review of them? if you could give me a list of what exactly you are looking for maybe that could help? 2 people already commented on one of my videos last week and I made a video especially for them, so the more specific you are the better and I can provide what you need :D !!
Yeah, that's a good idea and I guess mainly Tesco type shops just anywhere you can get groceries from, but also any shops they have on campus would be helpful 😊Thanks for the reply

Hello! I haven't logged in on my youtube channel for over 2 years so apologies for not replying. Although I always appreciate feedback, I would like to underline that filming videos alone and editing them is a very hard job. I wouldnt consider this video "misleading" but rather not in tune with your subjective view of the city. I did my best with the time I had at the time. However you are right that there is so much more to the city and that's why I would encourage you to make your own video so that you can add value. Its always easy to judge other's work and very hard to make your own. Anyway... this is no biggie and I hope that all is well with you!

Student life? An extension of school, a useless degree, and debt....go for it
i dont disagree with you.. it depends how people invest that precious time in uni. But student life doesnt just incorporates the uni life. For me student life includes the every day learnings i do on the internet, about how to start a business or how to better myself or how to make passive income. I am a student even now that i ve graduated. I will always be a student and thats what i mean when I mention student life. :)
