One thing I love is that this trailer feels optimistic. We save the freakin universe, so time to see more of the world we were fighting for, as well as get embroiled in shadow politics that will probably once again threaten the world as a whole. Also tacos confirmed, instant game of the year.
I like that it feels like a return to roots, like we're gonna go on a more old school quest exploring a new area, finding treasure and learning about the world, having a good time. I like the vibe it gives.
Looks pretty good the upgrade. The new expansion too, man final fantasy is doing pretty good these last years with ff7, crisis core, pixel remasters, ff16.
Looks great so far, interested in some of the story beats to be covered in this expansion. Now we wait for Alex Moukala's music analysis on this theme and the eventual expansion soundtrack!

I think one of the guesses people had about the WoL’s job here is Time Mage, because of the shirt clue (TMNT, had a game called Turtles in Time), but there’s two things that make me think that’s still legit: the first word in the song is “Time”. The lyrics clearly relate a lot to FFXIV and what’s happening in the trailer (peep the pet where they go through the expansion pack names… and got two more after “Dawn”!)… but also, the WoL is tapping his foot, keeping time… could be something!
To be honest i didn't play the game, waiting to have a better computer to play it, but i've seen the trailer lots of time, and i know enough to be happy that everyone is just chilling and taking a vacation

I'm not of the same opinion as many people like "oh my god, yoshi p, soken, whatever ishikawa, it's going to be amazing" I'm really a little bit behind, because I liked part of Endwalker, but not the whole, I didn't like it from the story of zenos, i thought it was a waste of villains and so on, there were parts with "millions" of characters and the screen time was a little messed up, in short, Shadowbringers for me is unbeatable as an expansion, the vibe, the antagonist [emet] and the story, the pacing, everything perfect. So here we are after 10 years, a great opportunity to do stories about new characters, as usual expansion after expansion, but no, we're going to be working with characters that, while beloved, are saturated and their ARCs and story are all resolved. Then I ask myself, will it become dragon ball GT? Are they going to invent adventure stories and silly things for these characters? I trust they are good at creating great stories, but the same characters over and over again.... graha, thancred, yshtola, etc. I like these characters, but let's face it, they've already given what they had to give, thancred in endwalker is a useless character, lackluster, without presence and his arc kind of ended in shadowbringers. I don't know...
Zenos story was actually the most brilliant part of the entire story. The Anology between Zenos life and his rebirth mirrored perfectly the struggle of Hermes and Meteoin to find meaning in life. He was the perfect villain for the story.
@@MugiwarasNakama i disagree, they kick him side for half of the game, made us forget him completely and in the last hours bring him back with the most deux ex machina bullshit i ever seen in ffxiv like a "friend", instead of a true villain. I didn't saw this "brilliant" story, zenos was wasted and exchanged for a nihilistic bluebird. I found it particularly boring.

300 hours. The pacing is very good and the game gets better with every expansion. I boosted through the game lately from a realm reborn to the end of endwalker and it was just a great time.
@@daseal1479 It will but it is absolutely worth it :) I didn´t touch my backlog during that time but lately I was even able to beat FF16 simultaniously. 14 works really well even for short sessions due to the quest driven structure of the game.
And the best thing is that from 6.5 on, the free expansion will include Stormblood! One thing to note is that once you buy the game, the free trials automatically ends. Also, if you're on the trial, they made it harder to communicate with others due to gil sellers. Fyi

CBU1 reignited the flame that once shined brightly at SE, with FF7 Remake, and continues to do so with FF7 Rebirth, that looks far better than FF16.
It feels very light-hearted and most importantly, Adventerous!

Yeah I expected this graphics update to be texture upscaling, it looks similar to what I already have with mods on PC.

7.0 will have all the improved graphics first. Then they'll start with ARR and close in by expansions as time goes by.
