And modern NBA doesn't jump that huge of a distance or even half the height. The arc and width of this jump was so huge and as high as the basket.

Somehow in my school we're allowed to paint in the basketball court if we're unable to do it in the library, arts clubroom or classroom. We'd get permission from principal to have the court for ourselves which makes the players unable to play. Which sucks but we got no other choice

What I love about this version is that no other version would do this, yeah Tobey fought Flash and you can kinda use that argument but I love how he doesn't even try to hide it, and I love the genuine smirk Peter has when he first moves the ball like, man I didn't think that'd work..
She likely needed a large flat dry area to paint for a school thing. She probably asked prior and they agreed to stick to one side of the court, probably as a compromise since she probably was told they wouldn't be allowed to play at all. Its their fault for playing. Its very easy to think of reasons why she'd be painting.

This Flash Thompson was much better and kind than the one in Tobey’s version. Especially, in the scene where Peter comes back to school after Uncle Ben died, Flash felt sorry for Peter.
I know he isn’t supposed to be a good person. We all know he is a bully towards Peter which they showed in both this version and Tobey’s version. The only difference is that in the Tobey version he was an actual bully and in this version, although he was still one, the fact that he felt sorry for Peter after Uncle Ben’s death was a huge thing.

I highly suspect the director was that one that did all the finishing detailed touches to turn the ordinary script into the masterpiece of cringe that we got at the end. When the end product is that bad, I can't blame the first guy that worked on it in the production chain.

That always annoyed me to no end. Characters playing the victim when they had some level of fault. If I run into traffic and it was my fault not the car going 60 down the highway with no time to slow or stop.
The "take it, Flash" and the slam were cool, but the leadup to that was weird and forced. "You better watch your back!" was the strangest line for a high school boy to say to a girl. I feel like that kind of sums up the Amazing Spiderman movies for me: Action sequences were really good, but the some of the character moments were really bad.
I loved the casting for Flash Thompson in this movie. Shame he didn't get much screen time after the high school scenes as I love the moment he sympathises and says sorry to Peter after Uncle Ben dies.
Andrew just straight up charging into Flash, executing one of the worst travels I've seen in my life, and then completely destroying the backboard has to be the most uncool cool thing I've ever seen
I actually think this scene is very important for story telling it shows the initial arrogance and unresponsible uses of his powers to show he still needs to grow and take his uncles message to heart

That always annoyed me to no end. Characters playing the victim when they had some level of fault. If I run into traffic and it was my fault not the car going 60 down the highway with no time to slow or stop.
The "take it, Flash" and the slam were cool, but the leadup to that was weird and forced. "You better watch your back!" was the strangest line for a high school boy to say to a girl.
