actors in musicals have this amazing ability to make it look like they are having the time of their lives but in reality they do this show every day a week in the same way, sometimes even twice a day

im in theater, not professional theater, yet, just kids theater for the moment, we usually did the show one time on one day, next day we did it twice, next day we did it three times and the next day we did it once and the last day, we’d have a party, exchange numbers or whatever and wait for the directors to give us our cds (recorded show) and then we’d have the party, hang out at this ice cream place and go home and wait for the next show to come out
Every show I've ever done we really are having the time of our lives. It's such a great rush

Mad props to Alex Brightman. Not just for crushing it, but for having the balls to go hard and fearless knowing he'd be weighed against Michael Keaton. Also mad props to the writers, Perfect, Brown, and King, for having the sense to write ol' beej from the ground up and not try to capture what Keaton did. I feel like this whole production hinged on the decision to do a separate and unique interpretation of the character.

Alex is freaking amazing as BJ, he did what Will Smith did with the genie. He knew he wasn’t going to live up to the original so he took it in it’s own direction and I have mad respect for that
And Just like Aladdin and Child’s Play, they took what made those films popular and put a whole new spin on them!

This is such a great display of choreography and lighting, it's so loud and fun. It feels oddly disjointed out of context, but thinking of it with the beginning of the song (and both Girl Scout and the end of Day-O proceeding it,) it seems like it must be pretty perfect in context. Hope to see it someday!

In high school we put on a musical and I, a 5’3, 105 lbs guy who also happened to be on the cheer team at the time, was thrown into the air every night for quite a few shows. It was terrifying. The idea of doing it at 6+ times a week every week for so long is unnecessarily scary to me.

The way Sophia Anne Caruso sings "A sound that means no more condescending adults hanging around" is just amazing. She's so talented! It's so sad that she isn't in the musical anymore.
And to think that it didn’t win best lighting design?! Like Hadestown has cool lights but they shouldn’t of won the Tony just because they have swinging lamps and a rotating stage with tables and an overall wooden look. We’ve never seen that OH WAIT HAMILTON

When people are asking for a professionally recorded version, they’re talking about VIDEO, not music. The CD comes out October 11th (I think) but us poor people who can’t afford to go to NYC want VISUALS, man!!!

I think that the actors for the bj clones probably do these roles aswell, it keeps them as having less people hired:
-Dead people in What I Know Now
-Mourners in 'Invisible, Prolouge'
-The skeletons in 'Credpy Old Guy'
Broadway does this to have to not pay one person nightly for just a few minutes in the show, that's why the actor for Delia also plays Miss Argentina
All of them are part of the ensemble and they have like 4 ensembles in the show.
I've lost count on how many times I've already watched this...
