How did your pronunciation suddenly switch to awesome Russian when you called out the names of the skaters? I believe that term is "Russian Tea" not a "fight" You know the Drama !
it's so sad to hear that Anya is injured. i hope that she'll be okay soon. we are too worried 'cause of previous experiences and scenarios but toe trauma can happen with everyone in any time. hopefully she gets well soon and we'll see her participating in Ростелеком Cup all safe and sound.
Agreed, really hope that if she does well for her assignment, they will give her another. RusFed must have known she probably couldn’t get her 3A and so probably thought they should try their luck with others
Nope. She will be back. She is made of steel, especially mentally, and she’s focused on the Olympics. Plus the injury isn’t severe and she’s still training, just not on ice.
I'm not the biggest fan of her skating but I admire her personality and spirit so much! Every time people think she's done she comes through stronger than ever.
Anna is the one that stayed with Eteri while the other two left which could have slowed the expiration date and Anna probably was pushed harder which could have pushed the expiration date forward.
Honestly, even if history is indeed repeating itself and Anna is some sort of a second Medvedeva, Anna is smart and humble and she has amazing supportive parents. If she gets silver (or maybe even bronze) at the Olympics and someone else gets gold, we won't see any sort of a meltdown from her. She'd be happy she even got to go there and she would wear her medal with grace.
Why the shade though? Shit if my whole life revolved around going to the Olympics and I didn’t get gold, I too would be crushed and cry on the spot. Yes, even going is an honor alone but c’mon, everyone’s shooting for the top medal. Especially when most are just below 20 years of age …
So true, I dislike Anna’s skating almost as much as I dislike Medvedeva’s, but I respect her as a person, she seems to have her head screwed on right unlike.... some others
@@user-7AB23 … Anna literally fought against her lungs and all to skate at RusNats, she’s more than ambitious and focused. Just because she isn’t loud or making future claims …
Omg please talk about the Grand Prix assignments that just came out. The ladies event at Skate Canada is so stacked I’m actually terrified, and I feel feel so bad for Aliona. Also Lilbet is coming back at Rostelecom I’m so exited
Honestly, Anna's injury seems very minor, I'm not worried about her yet. Whats really exciting right now is GP assignments! Evgenia doesn't have any spots, I think she's really retired :'(
@@CeeCeeOficial , I just wanted her career to end on a high note and that last test skates definitely wasn't it. I'm not delusional, I know that with no quad or 3A she can't go against other Russian girls but I hoped she would get opportunity to skate one last time and show alegeia and masquerade waltz to it's full potential
In terms of "expiration date," I think in last season's case, Anna just peaked too early. She was probably fatigued by Worlds. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't she compete in Rus Nats with pneumonia hence the heavy breathing? Anna's stature doesn't seem to have changed that drastically compared to Zhenya and Alina when they had their growth spurts, so I don't think we need to worry. Plus, she's always surprised us in actual comps even with a bad practice the day before.
If she is half as strong and determined as Yuzuru Hanyu who had a serious ankle injury a few months before the Olympics and then won it for the second time, she will get over this and win the 2022 Olympics ( not because she is my favorite skater - she isn't, but she is definitely one of the best out there) I wish her all the best and a fast recovery. Injuries are always heartbreaking for me
Honestly I don't think the broken toe has nothing to do with the ""Et*r*'s expiration date"", there are some red flags around Anna's health, but the toe isn't one. Over all I do believe the biggest obstacle in this situation will be her mental strenght💔 Wishing her the best
There is no expiration date. Evgenia and Alina did not have the most difficult technical constant. That's why they can't compete anymore. This can't happen anymore because it's unlikely that the younger ones will jump quintuple jumps. But still it's rare that an athlete in any sport is taking part in two Olympics. Many decide to go to university and lead a normal life.
@@solarisxyz3405 Yeah, I super see your point. It's just that I see then strungling much more in their own elements than strungling to overcome the quad girls. Correct me if I'm wrong, Evgenia and Alina's competitive potencial started to decrease not because of the quad rev but because of their inconsistent elements, injures and such (due to questionable techniques and the lack of a long-term career vison from the coaches). But thats debatable👐
People talk about the "expiration date" and I suppose there's some correlation between the Eteri's girls and short careers. But for this particular case, I think it might not be it because Anna broke her leg before. If you know about breaking anything in your body, it gets weaker. The only thing that gets stronger after the physical damage heals, is the mind. I hope she'll stay gold and have the mental strength to push through this hardship.
my best guess would be that Alina's programs for her show are being choreographed by gleich and eteri. Meanwhile all the programs for averbuk shows, zhenya's show, are always choreographed by him. So Evgenia doesn't need to be there technically speaking.
I am not a fan of her skating style but it is sad to think that she is injured as she is one of the top skaters right now, just hope that she will recover and break the cycle or the so called expiration date.
I dont mean to be biast because trusova is my favourite but I think she might be the one of the ones that doesnt break after turning 17 cause I'm pretty sure by the look of Sasha she jumps off of muscle not low weight but who knows 🤷♀️
i mean im worried about her because i want her to be healthy and do well this season, but i mean -that we know of- it’s just a broken toe. Anna broke her entire leg not that long ago, and a few years later the girl is jumping quads now. I believe that she is really strong mentally and physically, even if it doesn’t seem like it sometimes, she magically puts everything together every time. Plus a toe it’s supposed to heal in 4-6 weeks, so i think she will be fine, or at least hope so, specifically because she said that this injure didn’t happen in training. Anyways i won’t lie im scared bestie
How the heck did she even get injured that’s what I want to know. 😭 poor girl, hope she heals up ok. I think she’ll be fine for the season.. but.. we will see
I broke my toe in a way unrelated to skating too and managed to skate and compete with a broken toe once the swelling went down enough to get my boot on lol. She might not be able to get her boot on at the moment, but should be fine soon. I think Anna faces a lot of challenges coming up this season, but don't think a broken toe is one of them.
You don’t know that ,there is one you break from underneath, even MRI can’t catch it ,called fibre bone ,something ,I had ,worse then my broke ankle, will bother you Forever
Pleaaaaase can everyone stop already announcing Kamila as the winner. Everyone predicted Yulia to win in 2014 and she didn't even medal in Singles. Skaters can fall, Kamila is 15, she has fallen before and she is known to get nervous easily, just like Sasha. People already betting on her for Gold is kinda counterproductive I guess
Anna is injured and in the hospital seemingly every month. It's a wonder the poor girl is still alive. Also, could be just me, but Sasah seems like she grew!
even if its a fractured toe, if its more up and inside the foot it still takes 4-6 weeks to heal... i speak from experience. i broke my toe in the upper part of my foot 3 times. first left foot, which took 7 weeks to heal, then right foot, which took months because the muscles were fucked and then again the right foot again a decade later that took 5 weeks to fully heal. if she trains on it when its not fully healed, it can make the recovery time longer. thats what happened the first time i broke my toe. [note the second time i really did fuck up all the muscles, the bone healed in 6 weeks but it was the muscles that wasnt fully healed for months.] -- all of this worries me. it can really fuck anna over all season if she doesnt let it fully heal.
It seems like it hearts you real bad - the fact (that it is so obvious) Team Etteri will take gold and silver at OG. Only really dumb person that doesn't do ANY sport can think that athlete will not have traumas. Lets See: Trusova ( Queen of quads) , Valieva ( 3A, 4T, 4F) Sherbakova ( 4T 4F) , Chromich ( 4S 4T) - and just to make the things worse for the rest of the world- Usacheva ( already landing 3A). Can we surely say to the rest of the female skaters " girls, you are fighting as best-case scenario for the 3-rd place".
Actually it's sad to know that after that broken toe, she loses her quads and could not get it back by this time (only a few months before the Olympics).
A toe is not that bad, my best friend skated for months with a broken toe lol and healed by itself, of course not same level but it won’t let any elite skater stop them
It's definitely her 'hammer' toe that she uses to take off caused the broken foot. The way she slams her foot on the ice scares me because she does it all the time during trainings. I hope they really break the "Eteri" curse or Eteri does something about her take off during her jumps.
Thought it was interesting she made a whole post specifying it was an “off ice injury.” I don’t know about that , but hope Anna recovers fast and that it does not affect her in the future.
I'm confused, so is she injured? She said not but she indeed training off ice so probably minor? I heard that she had broken toe from her left foot before so that's the reason she rarely did 3T combination or tried 4T. Maybe intense training aggravated old injury?
it was not the first time Anna broke her bone, previously she had it and shea again standing and win the world championship. If we worry for Anna, there are still Sasha, Kamila, Liza and Alyona who ready to sustain Russian domination in Olympics.
That latest video of Kamila jumping a 3A and 4T off ice depressed me because Trusova is literally looking at her competition that’s already got those elements down to a T and has less wear and tear, physically, mentally … 😭 I hate it there.
I am sure she can get over that well in time to train for the upcoming season. In fact, it may be useful for her to rest a bit now. Although I will say that if you don’t eat properly, which we don’t know know for sure but can only take what we hear in rumors like her coach saying it’s a good thing that she only ate one shrimp, it makes your bones break much easier. But aside from that, she is a tough competitor in her mind, so she will give it a good fight. It’s just if her body will hold up and we started to see signs of the classic under rotation these girls start to show at this age last season. Would not be surprised if she has decent back pain by now too.
One tinyyy comment from a native Russian speaker 🙈😹: it's NovogORSK. You said NovoSGORK^^ it's nothing super important, just wanted to clarify because you said you're not sure how to pronounce it :) Love your videos!!!
Of course this is bad news for Anna but ther is time to recover before the season starts. Anna is "one of the verry best" , but ther is an unofficial title that made her the most succesfull of all the favorites : mentally she is by far the strongest, and this gives her a so often a desisive advantage. A fast recovery to Anna, The iron Lady will survive !!!
What Three A accomplished during the 2019-20 season is nothing short of spectacular. Because covid hit in 2020 and Aliona contracted it as well, the spotlight was then directed on Ana. So sad to see this recurring now.
Wrong analysis. Even before Aliona caught COVID-19, she wasn’t that strong at the beginning of season. Anna won fair and square. You talked as if Anna didn’t go through any illness 🤦♂️.
not panicking, but the weather definitely wanted to bring down the moon😔☔🌧️ lmao Are you planning on doing a vid on your thoughts about the assignments in the future??🤔🤔 Lmao part of me is super curious about it, since they were released in the midst of you uploading this; if you were debating on editing it AGAIN? And you just sort of gave up LMAOOOO
Meh, broken toe... the season hasn't even started. She can recover. Worry if it's in the middle of season and you are aiming at the olympics. I wouldn't be surprised if history repeats itself (which it's getting boring), and valieva takes the gold. I'd like for ladies who have been fighting at being competitive to have a chance at olympic gold, and not get their momentum trashed by some new and young jumping machine. The age for this sport seniors needs to be adjusted.
I saw another comment talking about how on ice is wildly different from off ice, and as someone who did competitive synchro skating for years and years, I wholeheartedly agree. And she's barely on her feet in the video, just for the 5sec plank. Also, she's wearing two different shoes, one is an open toed sandal, which is not good for training in the slightest. I can't be the only one to immediately think that her posting a video of herself to prove that she's okay might just be a cover up for the media to leave her alone, and that she in fact is still struggle with injury? I mean, I've never broken anything and don't know when she got this potential injury, but the time between "oh she's injured possibly?" to "she's fine" feels . . . unsettling? And that's not to say that she won't get better and come out on the GP guns blazing, but if she need to "prove" that she's alright by showing herself working out? that doesn't sit right with me
@@SamKreinberg she's injured but this is not something serious and she is not just lying in her bad. That was the purpose of the video. We know that she can't go on ice atm but she didn't try to do it
It calls puberty! Do American skater go through?? Tell me how many American skaters can do three triples triple combo at 17 and skate hard programs like her ? Come on ! EG’s skaters can do triple triple combos in their sleep even in 17,18,19, and so on. Can you please talk about US skaters.
@@TheGeographyWatch The Russians use terrible technique and extreme training that enable them to do these difficult jumps for a short time before either their bodies or minds break down by 17. It’s sad and unhealthy.
Even if she didn’t break her foot, she wouldn’t have won. Her FS technical points were lower than Alina in general. Alina has the better jumps and flexibility.
Evgenia was winning everything Alina was winning everything in juniors. It was Evgenia’s third year in seniors, Alina’s first year. Evgenia is artistic Alina is technical. Evgenia got injured just before Olympics Alina was in form Anna won nearly everything Kamila won everything in juniors It’s Anna’s third year in seniors this year It will be Kamila’s first year. Kamila is technical? She is soooo musical and her lines are beautiful. She is very balletic. Also Anna has a broken toe 8 whole months before the Olympics so there is really no need to already become pessimistic. She won RusNats with pneumonia
Because they move to novogorsk every summer to recover. If you pay a little bit of attention, you'll notice that every group move to some sport base in summer. Mishin to Kislovodsk, Eteri and some others to Novogorsk
At the video not olimpic center. Olimpic center is Novogorsk (where all skaters now). At the video Hrustalnij skate(TT home). Plan to build New one, as soon as This skate is Just school skate.
You understand that there was hurricane in Moscow that day? Some metro stations were flooded, some streets were looking like rivers. It has nothing to do with being "poor".

Love the men's costume. Nathan Chen should wear something with yellow/gold in it :)
Not saying the "expiration date" thing isn't true, but Anna actually said her toe injury happened off-training
Because Eteri told her to say that.
It's NovogorSk, not NovoSgork, just wanted to mention)
it was not the first time Anna broke her bone, previously she had it and shea again standing and win the world championship. If we worry for Anna, there are still Sasha, Kamila, Liza and Alyona who ready to sustain Russian domination in Olympics.
That latest video of Kamila jumping a 3A and 4T off ice depressed me because Trusova is literally looking at her competition that’s already got those elements down to a T and has less wear and tear, physically, mentally … 😭 I hate it there.
can someone give me the link to the RUclips video of the practice?
I am sure she can get over that well in time to train for the upcoming season. In fact, it may be useful for her to rest a bit now. Although I will say that if you don’t eat properly, which we don’t know know for sure but can only take what we hear in rumors like her coach saying it’s a good thing that she only ate one shrimp, it makes your bones break much easier. But aside from that, she is a tough competitor in her mind, so she will give it a good fight. It’s just if her body will hold up and we started to see signs of the classic under rotation these girls start to show at this age last season. Would not be surprised if she has decent back pain by now too.
curious, what is your primary language? your english is great! I didn’t realize it wasn’t your first
spanish
Everyone from the comments section seems to underestimate the importance of toes for balance. Toes matter a ton sadly.
yes alita 👑
humble queen
One tinyyy comment from a native Russian speaker 🙈😹: it's NovogORSK. You said NovoSGORK^^ it's nothing super important, just wanted to clarify because you said you're not sure how to pronounce it :) Love your videos!!!
By the way it’s novogorsk!
You talked as if Anna didn’t go through any illness 🤦♂️.
not panicking, but the weather definitely wanted to bring down the moon😔☔🌧️ lmao
Are you planning on doing a vid on your thoughts about the assignments in the future??🤔🤔
Lmao part of me is super curious about it, since they were released in the midst of you uploading this; if you were debating on editing it AGAIN? And you just sort of gave up LMAOOOO
Is injury in Russia code for puberty and I have lost my Ultra Si jumps?
ah yes, the evil stepmother wears Louis Vuitton narrative.
She is horrible.
"training" on a yoga mat is not the same as toe picking the ice. I'm sure theres truth to the injury
I mean, I've never broken anything and don't know when she got this potential injury, but the time between "oh she's injured possibly?" to "she's fine" feels . . . unsettling? And that's not to say that she won't get better and come out on the GP guns blazing, but if she need to "prove" that she's alright by showing herself working out? that doesn't sit right with me
If it wasn’t by fans like you going crazy, she wouldn’t had to film any video.
@@SamKreinberg she's injured but this is not something serious and she is not just lying in her bad. That was the purpose of the video. We know that she can't go on ice atm but she didn't try to do it
хватит уже сравнивать всех подряд.
i knew it i knew it
It calls puberty! Do American skater go through?? Tell me how many American skaters can do three triples triple combo at 17 and skate hard programs like her ? Come on ! EG’s skaters can do triple triple combos in their sleep even in 17,18,19, and so on. Can you please talk about US skaters.
Well the Russians can do quad triple combinations and the US is not a dominant team in ladies’ singles figure skating
Tell me how many Russians are still skating over the age of 20?
@@TheGeographyWatch The Russians use terrible technique and extreme training that enable them to do these difficult jumps for a short time before either their bodies or minds break down by 17. It’s sad and unhealthy.
HİSTORY İS REPEATİNG ITSELF THAT S THE ONLY EXPLANATİON
When is the olympic date ?
It will be in February or March so there is no need to worry now
Omg, GOOGLE IT.
Evgenia also broke her foot before the Olympic season. After that injury she never got a gold.
Yes, but she got silver and considering her circumstances, it could've been alot worse
Even if she didn’t break her foot, she wouldn’t have won. Her FS technical points were lower than Alina in general. Alina has the better jumps and flexibility.
It’s NovoGORSK
I'm curious, do you speak spanish as well?
i do
Evgenia was winning everything
Alina was winning everything in juniors.
It was Evgenia’s third year in seniors, Alina’s first year.
Evgenia is artistic
Alina is technical.
Evgenia got injured just before Olympics
Alina was in form
Anna won nearly everything
Kamila won everything in juniors
It’s Anna’s third year in seniors this year
It will be Kamila’s first year.
Anna is artistic
Kamila is technical
Anna is injured
Kamila is in form
Anna looks like Evgenia and she does her hair like her.
Kamila looks like Alina and does her hair like her.
Edit: Evgenia is a Nike ambassador
Anna is a Nike ambassador
Alina is a Puma ambassador
Kamila is now a Puma ambassador
Kamila is technical? She is soooo musical and her lines are beautiful. She is very balletic. Also Anna has a broken toe 8 whole months before the Olympics so there is really no need to already become pessimistic. She won RusNats with pneumonia
@@kthy31 I’m not pessimistic, she can win of course she is strong but everything seems familiar.
Imagine romanticising this.
why did they move to Novogorsk in the first place?
Because they move to novogorsk every summer to recover. If you pay a little bit of attention, you'll notice that every group move to some sport base in summer. Mishin to Kislovodsk, Eteri and some others to Novogorsk
@@fsmilka8021 Thank you! I know that national team of rg has its base in Novogorsk so I was wondering
I’m sorry but I think if Eteri doesn’t improve her girls’ technique, the cycle won’t end soon.
no-vo-gor-sk
maybe it helps)
Maia will win
And it is staining everywhere
FIRST
Russia so poor they can't even fix their Olympic training centres? Or at least where there are Olympic athletes. Mess.
At the video not olimpic center. Olimpic center is Novogorsk (where all skaters now). At the video Hrustalnij skate(TT home). Plan to build New one, as soon as This skate is Just school skate.
Novogorsk is the olympic center, not the Crystal. The facilities in Novogorsk are pretty cool as far as i see in instagram posts
You understand that there was hurricane in Moscow that day? Some metro stations were flooded, some streets were looking like rivers. It has nothing to do with being "poor".
@@perfectdark6025 There are no hurricanes in Moscow.
