@@identifiesas65.wheresmyche95 (R) Ted Cruz, (R) John Kennedy, (R) Lindsey Graham, (R) Marco Rubio, and (R) Ben Sasse off the top of my head. I agree most of the federal government is crooked, but I've gotta respectfully disagree with the notion that the libertarian party seems to host that both parties are the same. My Father lives in NC, Purple state but sadly going blue increasingly because of Charlotte and Raleigh like anything else. Since 2020, state sales Tax went from 5% to 8%, tabacco and alcohol tax both are up, property tax is up, and it's proposed to raise school taxes. So from what I see, this is Exhibit A of exclusively Democrats Buttfucking the Middle Class in a way that Republicans never do.

@@damianrideout8366 I agree that they are the lesser of two evils. That said I don't like big government types like the ones you mentioned. Especially graham is a real mess, that guys even anti 2nd. There's very little difference in terms of fiscal responsibility between the parties. Democrats like to borrow, tax, inflate and spend. Republicans like to lower taxes and inflate more to compensate before they also borrow the remainder and spend - what's the difference? Both consider the constitution nothing but a hassle to be overcome etc.

@@identifiesas65.wheresmyche95 Well I actually didn't know Lindsay spoke out against the 2nd Amendment, and if that's true then I don't support that. And I'm disappointed that Trump seemed to not cut deficits as he promised. Politicians saying they'll do it is one thing, but back in 2016 I was thinking of Trump as an outsider businessman trying to drain the swamp. And yes he did prove me wrong on that at least with his fiscal policy. I'm glad you can agree Republicans are the lesser of two evils, because all I'm saying is that from what I witness on a state level, Democrats have literal shit being thrown around everywhere and "The world's largest outdoor shooting ranges" as said by (R) Kennedy. But wherever Republicans get elected, it's always lower taxes, fewer regulations, and middle class earnings compared to high class is always more in those red states vs the blue states. SJW Libtards make me angry and are ruining this once great country, I hope that you can agree with me on that.

To be fair, trump has raised family income by five thousand dollars, while under Obama it only raised one thousand in his entire eight years. That means that taxes would have been more effective due to an increase in liquid capital.

In November of 1994 I was taking a medieval European history class. When the GOP took over Congress, it occurred to me that in a sense it was a return to tradition. In medieval times, the king would want the legislature to approve higher taxes so he could spend more while the legislature wanted to keep taxes as low as possible. But for the previous 40 years, the Democrats had (mostly) controlled Congress and wanted higher taxes and more spending while the president more often then not was a Republican. Those Republican presidents had (at least sometimes) sought lower spending (then the Democrats at least). The 1994 mid terms had restored a frugal Congress as a counter to a president with a desire to spend more. We may return to that in 2022. But Remy is right, the GOP only cares about deficits if the president is a Democrat. That kind of sends an interesting message to voters that do care about deficits.

if you make 100k a year for sixty years from eighteen to seventy eight

To be fair , for some (a small minority to be sure ) of the Republicans , it was not that they were cheerleading his spending , just that they recognized (correctly ) that he was far and away the lesser of two evils.
