Injury is not a failure. It is part of the sport. He will bounce back for World Championship

Doc you mentioned depression: Overcoming that requires more than the hero’s journey. First, psychological coaching, if he doesn’t believe in himself and trust his abilities, pack it in. That’s for all walks of life. Success came early! Now disappointment, time to reset. Erase the software, reboot and power up. Change location. Reduce the fan club. Set a program with a goal of next WC. Train like he fresh out of HS and hungry without a contract. Keep the masses asking, where is Watson, just show the work.

Antonio needs to set his goals and priorities and work to condition his body and make his aspirations a reality, he has to aim to be the best.

He will and I think he will use this as a motivation. The coach should be more involved because he’s young and he needs more guidance.

Like a boxing champion, you discipline your mind, body to achieve greatness. That's the halfway point, once greatness is accrued, now, everything is doubled. The effort, diet, mental, physical preparation and avoid anything or anyone that doesn't keep you on the top of your game. If you won a title, the pressure just begins. You are now a marked man, everyone wants what you have. Let this be a lesson to all athletes. He must now RESET, REFOCUS and find the fire and hunger AGAIN.

Jamaican athletes don't take sports as a profession. So they take the off-season off. Here in the US, you see the athletes do the hard work during the off-season, and are ready from day one of the season. If you want to see an athlete who follow the program, see Grant Holladay. Last day of the season, he is kicking ass, first day of the season, he is ready. Too many of the Jamaican athletes come back out of shape or injuried.

Not sure what the issues are but his entire season was not convincing. There seems to be a lot going on with him. Only he can sort himself out.

he can recover but it's a hard blow but just like you when I saw him at Camperdown classics, I knew something was wrong based on the level that he had been last season however until we have somewhere specifically for injured athletes and how we look after them we will continue to face this problem but he his ok it's just the injury that got the best of him however I would suggest for him to sit the rest of the season out to heal properly physically and emotionally and be ready for next season.

I like your comment but when did he actually get injured, and what was his injury.
I dont know either but i want to believe it happened just after he won last year and his knee buckled by themselves. Tñats when i think he was injured, something went wrong internally he needs some detailed checks i dont think this years injury have nothing to do with his weak performances this year.
Get checked out antonio do every Relevant medicál tests possible.

It is sex the body is not recovering fast enough his coach can tell you, when it's track season stay away from sex it will drain your body tremendously to the point your muscle over work itself leave you vulnerable to get injured. But I'm not saying sex isn't a good thing but it does coexistence with athletes especially track and field

Athletic Analytics: "Trivariate" Predictions of Jamaican Men's 100-Meter-Sprint Performance at the 2024-Olympic Games
    ABSTRACT:
The historicity of Jamaican men faring favorably in flat sprints, at global-racing feats, provides bearings on which to hinge hope for satisfactory performances. In excess of "satisficing" performance(s) are expected, beyond average-current scales in time, for Kishane Thompson (9.77 seconds), Oblique Seville (9.84 seconds), and Ackeem Blake (9.89 seconds). Operationalizing the variables--acceleration, kinetic energy, and prospect of at least third-place finish--into measurable contracts, it is calculably determined that (a) Thompson's (i) acceleration rate is circa 103% (± 5.77%)¹ or 1.03 meter per second (m/s) and (ii) kinetic energy is 101% (± 10.00%)⁴ or 1.01 pound meter-squared per second-squared (lbm²/s²); (b) Seville's (i) acceleration rate is 102% (± 7.07%)² and (ii) kinetic energy is 92% (± 3.54%);⁵ (c) Blake's (i) acceleration rate is 101% (± 10.00%)³ and (ii) kinetic energy is 91‰ (± 3.33%).⁶ Quoted averages above have implications, as contribution-margin ratios, for providing probabilities for at least third-place finish, in the 100-meter sprint, at the 2024-Olympic Games: for (a) Thompson, 95% (± 4.47%);⁷ (b) Seville, 85% (± 2.58);⁸ (c) Blake, 83% (± 2.43%).⁹
