Thank you so much for showing us properties in this price range. After paying for some decent health insurance and saving a bit every month...my budget would be around $1300 USD. So properties like this are good to see.
This place is nice, maybe in the future you can do a video showing how close the nearest stores, market/shopping/ Robinson, and the road getting there.....Wish there were places like this near Cebu city, but not so...and the price is way more!
I live a bit outside Cebu City(Consolacion) and it is a 2 bed for 7500 php per month. Unfurnished and u pay all your own utilities. % min ride to National Hwy and about 1 hour bus to downtown Cebu. It is a 10 unit apt complex-all on ground floor-i think there are 2 open right now
That's a perfect getaway place in the hills, Mike, perfect price point. I wanted to ask about the receptacles; do they take standard US plugs there or do you need adapters?
What is with the wirenuts on top the showerhead? Electricity and water don't mix. I love the price and the cooler temps up there in Valencia but that shower would scare me.
Thanks for sharing! Great price since wifi and electric is included. But I did not like the classic "Suicide shower" in the bathroom. It's a bit sketchy.
Please tell me what is a suicide shower because I am not suicidal😮😮😊😊.. I was planning on spending a month there with my fiance but I do not want to die in the shower..😅😮😊
@@richardhowe5583 Thee term Suicide shower is used on a shower that is not grounded, but only connected to electric wires that are mounted to heat the shower head it self. It was normal for 30-50 years ago in the Philippines, but it shocked me to see one today when most people know how lethal they can be. So if you see a shower head connected to 2 electric wires, stay out of it.
I am glad that you showed that last apartment for sure.. after I arrive my fiance and myself will call to see if it is available and spend a couple of months up in the mountains to see how cool it is and if we want to move there permanently.. I think that is a very good deal on that last apartment.. thank you very much and see you soon I hope.. probably in December before Christmas I hope😊😊..ps. What do you think the daytime and nighttime temperature is there? Thanks 👍
I like everything about it inside and out with one exception no AC. I have to have AC to sleep at night so I would want to renegotiate drop the electric off the rent and I would put a window unit in and would be even willing to agree to leave it behind should I move. but I don’t see myself moving. I would be content with that space so I would probably be a long-term renter I am seriously considering retiring in the Philippines but I have much to do before I can make that move. I have a lot of stuff to get rid of a house to sell. 300 325 on down is the sweet spot for me. I don’t need or really want a large space, the bigger the harder to cool, but large enough to entertain a guest or two. I would upgrade a few things I would put a larger, cooking set up and a counter, oven and microwave. Maybe a table outside and a grill. I would also be concerned about how much power is brought to the space. Having a lot of receptacles should reflect a pretty good capacity, but it is the Philippines and I don’t know if they have codes there so I’d be curious to know if it’s a 50,100 amp service. My passion is music. I play guitar I have an amp so I would be using not a lot but maybe more than what is common I think. I wouldn’t want to be Tripping breakers because I don’t have enough power. If I could work these things out with her I would definitely be willing to rent this space it is clean and seems safe and I live clean so her space would be well taken care of. I have a question that no one has addressed. What does one do with trash? Is there trash pick up? Do you burn it? Do you carry it off somewhere? What do you do with it. Thanks for sharing.
I will have a monthly budget of around $2500 until I get my pension and 🇺🇸 S.S. That would be perfect for me. The balance of the money could be used for charity
I’m coming to dumaguete from the U.K. with the intention of retiring. I’m looking at the end of October 2023. Can you help me find a place to stay/live. I would be most grateful. Thank you Alfred Kenny.
A little awkward, but I could do that. However that shower head set up is sketchy AF… Here is one thing I will never understand. Why do people live with the refrigerator doors on the wrong side? The damned things are reversible… remove the little plastic plug unscrew the hinges and handle and attach to the other side.
People are always talking about being remote and no neighbors, privacy, privacy, privacy, ??? What is the privacy that you are looking for? Are you planning on coming outside with no clothes on? Or walking g around your house butt naked with all the windows open??? I don't get it.
That’s one of the best deals I’ve seen ,of course the layout in the apartment is odd but that’s the Philippines 🇵🇭 for you lol

This is the ideal size and price for (I'm guessing) the majority of expats first arriving there to figure out where they want to end up.
I love electrical wires in the shower.
What’s the elevation there?

Looks great. How far to the nearest market where the cook food?
How did this unit survive the flooding last week in Valencia?

Apartments this size force you to be a minimalist. I will feel so liberated when I get rid of my house and its contents here in the USA.
my condo in Cebu is smaller
It that a microphone attached to the shower head? That could come in very handy while singing in the shower 🎤 🎶
Does it have a clothes washer
We need this in America. What the build made out of?
Looks like a nice area. What is the current price range for property lot's in the Valencia mountain area? Thanks.
Depends of the location
How often do you lose power and internet up there?
not often
I think I saw this one.
Yes in maybe in our first channel... thanks for watching again.
I pay that for a 3 bedroom 2 bay room house in Romblon😊
What were the wires coming out of the shower head?

$300 includes utilities? Thats a small place but for one, it's more than sufficient and definitely priced right.
I think the price is very good
Put me in coach, I'm ready to play

IMHO it's OP. For a studio apartment even if its includes the utilities and its outside the Metro Manila it should be lower than 10k
I can buy a condo and pay 15000p a month and own it so why rent that old shack? It's over priced by 10000p RIP off!
Thanks for your comment
Can you buy a condo up in the mountains of Valencia where it is cool? Put the link or tell me where they are.. thanks 👍
no Condo's in Valencia
No hot water in shower? I'll give you 2k pesos a month with no deposit.............Deal?
