The 'Tipped pass that should have been intercepted" was a perfect throw. Aiyuk was bumped while the ball was in the air. I guarantee you Kyle didn't tell Purdy to run more. Brock Purdy decided .
That flag that flew was a pass interference call on the DB. If it had intercepted it, it would have been negated.
That's exactly what I'm saying. How do you watch that play and say it should have been picked? No, it was DPI and called DPI, if there was no contact, it would have been right there. Aiyuk still almost had a hand on it.

@xomthood I literally just typed the same message before I scrolled and saw your message. How these so called analyst not talking about that or see that. That pass by Purdy was a perfect throw and would have hit Aiyuk dead in the hands were it not for the PI from the defender bumping him during the route right before the ball got there. That bump was just enough to stop his momentum and progression and make it look like an under thrown ball. Even the announcer said it was DPI and the reason the ref threw the flag. You can't bump that far down field. They ended up picking the flag up but it was PI. And it bounced off dude helmet because Aiyuk made two excellent plays. One by becoming the defender and getting his hands in front of the guys face causing it to bounce off his helmet. And the second by staying focused on the ball and making that spectacular catch. Great throw and great catch!

Brock Purdy's first season as a starting QB was undefeated until the NFC championship Eagles game with an elbow injury. The second season took the 49ers team to the Super Bowl. That's an amazing accomplishment!

Ah was waiting for this. Arguably no show has been more critical of Purdy than this show and finally he’s getting his flowers. Dude went from being Mr. Irrelevant to leading the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl! That’s incredible and he deserves a lot of credit for helping get this team back to the big dance after so many missed opportunities.

While Purdy had a great comeback it was more the Lions throwing the game away. Multiple dropped passes, 4th down failures and not taking points.Not adjusting on defense, not running the ball for in the second half to take more time off the clock. win is a win but the other team did beat themselves. The last time i check everyone on this show praised Purdy.

The helmet tipped pass to Aiyuk was a good ball. It was already in the air when the DB bumped and slight held Aiyuk that’s why the ref threw the flag. How these analysts come up here and not really analyze the game?

Thank you for giving him the flowers. One thing... the play to Aiyuk, they threw the flag for Defensive PI on that play and its clear. It was they picked it up after BA caught it, but if the DB doesnt hit BA that ball was exactly where he should have been.

Not only is Purdy winning, but he is winning in spite of plays breaking down and in spite of poor defensive play. Two things that normally carried the day back when this was Jimmy G's team. He broke Kyle's comeback curse last week and now it feels like the sky is the limit. The 49ers finally have their franchise QB.

It's wrong to say the long pass to Aiyuk was a mistake. It was defensive PI (and the ref threw the flag) that had BA behind the ball. When he caught it anyhow, the ref picked up the flag. But that was a well thrown ball. (Though the defender WAS there, so it was a 50/50 ball.)
It’s a team game and team win but listen to what the Niners defense said after the game. They all said they don’t win the last two games if Purdy doesn’t step up and preform when they absolutely needed him to. Some people melt under that pressure and others shine.

No, that play down field by Aiyuk was not an under thrown ball. There was a PI by the defender that affected Aiyuk getting to the spot the ball was thrown to. Go back and look and you'll see the guy bump Aiyuk before the ball got there. That bump stopped his progression and is illegal. That's why that flag was thrown. Even the announcer said it was DPI. They ended up picking the flag up. But it didn't matter because Aiyuk made a spectacular play.
PI call that was picked up aside. A lucky bounce to Aiyuk, right? What about those 2 tipped passes against the Ravens that fell into the Ravens hands? Don’t criticize on one and say it was lucky on the other.

This was Mahomes worst season and they said it many times. They also said he was playing badly but you chose to ignore all of that but lose your mind if anything is negative about Purdy. They even said Josh Allen and Lamar should beat him. Thats more then enough criticism. When Purdy was playing bad they said he did, when he played well they also said so. Did the defense step up in the second half? Yes, they shouldn't bring up the fumbles or the 4th down stops? Unless Purdy was in on those plays the defense should get credit as well. It's ok for someone to be critical about someone you like. I like Mahomes but i can say with a straight face he played bad this year. Even last night I have doubts if he can beat the 49ers.
That bounced pass was due to defensive pass interference when Aiyuk got pushed on the chest to slow him down. That is why there was a freaking flag on the play. The flag got picked up by the ref since he ended up catching the pass. The 49ers would be inside the 10 either way.

If we’re keepin it real, the tipped pass to Aiyuk was a PERFECT pass accuracy wise. BA gets bumped and slows up, ref’s throws a flag, which later gets picked up, but in terms of accuracy it was perfect. Given the defenders positioning maybe it should have been under thrown.

I don’t understand why all of these sports analysts that study these games keep saying that the deep throw should have been picked. There was defensive past interference on the play which slowed BA down from getting to the ball. It was not a bad pass.

That deep pass by Purdy was actually a perfect throw, but Aiyuk got jammed by the DB which is why the ref threw the flag initially. Idk why people keep thinking it was a bad pass.
