These are very serious points, which were earlier seen as just anti incumbency social media cries. Those days are gone by. Like Mr. Prabakar said, India as we know is dying a slow death.
A crucial challenge we now have, perhaps, is how are these thoughts going to be conveyed to the not so informed electorate of our country.
It is really alarming situation at present and very few people understand the the gravity of situation due to lack of real education.
I don't know much but people need to change their attitudes, look at the West, Europe etc we do need aesthetics, rights of the lower strata, workers rights, foe, dignity for jobs , indian attitudes do need to change

When the Kerala LlA Speaker tells thousands of students that Ganapathy and other Hindu gods are myths: The same person extolled his own Islamic faith to high heaven at other fora. When Hindu religious processions are routinely attacked by the peaceful group and Hindus are invariably blamed for the ensuing violence. When pastors in Tamil Nadu openly exhort people to attack Brahmins and everyone laughs it off.
These observations and thoughts should reach the masses.English language has a very short reach in this country.

The situation is indeed worrisome. And Dr.Prabhakar has voiced his concerns very well in his book "The Crooked Timber of New India".
What is indeed worrisome is that even some of the very well educated people I know have fallen for the wrong rhetoric and do not seem to understand what the country is facing today.

His interview is a testament of how relationships and deep political differences can co exist !
His wife is in Delhi and he lives in Hyd. Although they may not have formally divorced, they're seldom seen together and even on their daughter's wedding, he was nowhere to be seen when FinMin was standing near her daugher and son-in-law. Deep differences between a couple in anything whether ideology, education, morality, financial status and even health condition, eventually erodes the relationship in the conventional sense of the word.
He had to stop his midweek matters incisive commentary abruptly. No prizes for guess where the pressure came from and whether he was happy about stopping midweek matters which was growing in viewership.
Hatred for India and Hindus by the Hindu newspaper and frontline.
Hatred for Hindus blah blah..... He is saying the right thing. We are moving towards dictatorship under BJP government

My God, I cannot believe that this person is an honest, and sincere Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman's husband purely from the contents in some of the points he has said. Eg. just on one aspect alone.....Mr. Modi never said every citizen will be given Rs.15 lakhs from the black monies. Every educated person who had listened to Mr. Modi's speech in Hindi knows only too well that what he said was the amount of black money if brought back would equal to every Indian citizen having Rs.15 lakhs in their bank accounts. I am mild in my comments only because I do not want to hurt Mrs. Nirmala Sitaraman's reputation in any way. She is too good a person.

Dr Parakala Prabhakar was making thoughtful analysis of the prevailing situations , social, economic and political, of the country and the numerous problems such as, acute scarcity of jobs/employment, terrible burden of skyrocketing price of consumer goods and essential commodities etc the common people of India have been passing through under the current regime led by the PM Modi. Good old crap from Prabhakar! The economic development numbers and the growth of Bharat in the last 3-4 years speak the truth. Bharat is # 5 economy in the World today and he heading to #3. Why do we need such theoretical analysis which does not consider and cannot explain the current development of Bharat. The reality of Bharat is different and progressive, no matter what Prabhakar thinks and says.
Many political families follow this strategy. One member part of ruling party other part of opposition. This is a safe bet in case of change of power. May be there is an understanding between Ms Nirmalaji & her husband.
