I had a third grade math teacher who threw a screaming fit at me in front of the entire class because she thought I had my mom do my homework for me. Now, Mom *did* help me understand some of the concepts because I had a foot-high stack of homework and was still working on it over an hour past my bedtime. I was terrified of this teacher and *begged* Mom not to help because I knew she'd react this way. So when the fireworks started, I did what Mom told me to do and started to leave.
The teacher grabbed me by the arm and screamed at me, "Where do you think you're going?"
So I told her that Mom said that she freaked out, that I was to call home and Mom would speak to her.
Boy, if I thought she was spitting fireworks before. Was all but shoved back to my desk. Never got the phone call in because the school had a run about having to have a note from the teacher to use the phone in the library (this was before cellphones were common) and the librarian was another child-hating bitch. So I had to wait until I got home to tell my parents what happened and my dad just about launched a one-man raid on Lindisfarne. Mom, being the super non-confrontational person she is, managed to talk him out of it. Not sure what, if anything, they did do, but she was still working there when I left after sixth grade.

I had one, she had a particular dislike of me for some reason, she grabbed me by my chin one day and squeezed so hard she popped the spacer (a little thing dentists put between teeth to keep them apart while a new tooth grows between them) out of my mouth, my grandparents (moms parents) were my guardians and they threw a fit, but the school did nothing about it. This was way back in the 80s though, so it was a time when things like this were swept under the rug a lot more than now.

It's actually nice that in the last story the angry teacher was watching and aware of what kids _should_ be doing (odds are there is zero fighting during her watch), and she apologized, which most angry people don't seem to like to do -- not that she _liked_ it, but she did apologize and gets a golden star from me. The other stories were good, too.

    • @cyman0730

no gold star - she LIED to the principal and only apologized because she had to - and if she is so "blind" to not recognize the difference between a clearly logo'd worker and a student (regardless of age or apparent age), she's probably not the most competent in other ways - and finally, rude is rude - even if it had been a student she was rude and not a role model of behavior - I' had a tough as nails teacher (shout out to Ms. Bryant at Buchholz HS) but she always modeled proper behavior even when correcting and demanding things of/from students

While you cant think an officer is a security guard, sometimes, depending on where you are (government run buildings) the security guard is a full officer that can arrest you. Usually not in the same uniform as city/county police though. There have probably been plenty of people stupid enough to pick fights with these security guards, thinking they have no real authority, only to be face down and in cuffs 2 minutes later for asault. Just goes to show, no matter how angry you are about something, just speak calmly and respectfully to everyone. I recently had something happen at work that severely irritated me and was caused by managment. I voiced my complaint to one of the managers in charge of the situation and told them I was not happy and it was their fault. I was calm and professional about it, but also stern as to not let them say any excuses. Dont know if it will change anything about the situation but yelling wouldn't have helped at all. It just makes you look like an idiot most of the time. Depending on the situation though, sometimes a raised voice, calling someone out on their garbage, is the only way to show them that you wont just take it. Very rarely though.

Seeing someone in a hat would certainly have gotten her attention. However, she assaulted the fellow and then lied to the principal about what actually happened. That’s a problem. When you choose to lie immediately to the principal about an incident, that calls into question EVERY interaction she’s had with students. She’s proven she has no integrity and therefore proved she shouldn’t be teaching impressionable kids.

I know YT doesn't take a political stance but could you at least change up the attack ads? The same one five times in fifteen minutes is a bit much. Sorry, RedWheel, but they seem to take more notice here than trying to contact their butts.

I call BS on the last one! IF you were a cop at 21 then there is no way you would move to a tech job after that. You are a good story teller but that is as far as it goes, the other giveaway? you messed up 'that old saying" hvac techs are NOT one of the trades you do not mess with, those are the pay clerks, supply techs and the cooks! Those who know, know and those who think they know let us that do know get our daily laughs in so thank you anyway LOL!

Some people can't handle the pressure of being a police officer, so they move into another area of work. So, yes, he could have been a police officer for a few years before making a career change.
Also, he never said that they were old sayings, just two rules he lives by. Of course, one would apply directly to him.

The principal should realize that a teacher will abuse students and probably lie about it
