I am Irish living in Ireland. Its not a custom we have to cover our heads. However about 10 years ago as I started experiencing a lot of energy around my head area, I found myself drawn to wearing a scarf on a regular basis...all I can say is the peace it gave me was and still does is amazing. I continue to wear my scarf daily at home and at night, as of yet, I have not given myself permission to do so in public. But recently after becoming aware of the Sikhism and learning to chant etc..I am sensing I have found finally my new own spiritual path. So that will be changing. I cant thank you enough for this video and your wisdom. I am enjoying learning the mantras at present and look forward to learning the harmonium. I dont know of any places in Ireland or near me that gather to rejoice together but if you happen to or anyone else out there does, I would be very grateful for the connection.

This is really true. I was shown by my teacher how to wrap my hair, just to get it out of my face. But I noticed the difference immediately, and now I often wrap my head if I am feeling scattered or vulnerable.

OKay...I was drawn to this video. Now I know the significance in head wrapping. I leave it on when I go in the field (outside) to stay protected and keep me centered to the mission at hand.

I started wrapping and covering my head and wearing turbans, sould you say a hat also can do the same thing when containing the energy? Awesome discussion. Our crown Chakra is to be protected. Thank you.

Interesting. I wonder if you would elaborate on the subject of covering your head for energetic/ spiritual reasons.... not religious / cultural reasons. I am researching the topic for my own interest and you speak well on this matter.

I'm with you as well. Its seem to be more. I think head coverings force us to be aware of the sensation ever present on the skull which I think is similar to what she said about containing and focusing our energy. The mind has something to keep its attention and now it isn't wreaking havoc on you so to speak and able to be direct more easily

I just started doing this, because in the Bible it actually says we are supposed to do this as women. But,I've noticed too that I feel less anxiety and more centeredness when I have my head covered. Also,it's nice that I don't have to worry about my hair and how it looks. My hair tends to get really frizzy, and this helps me nog have to feel insecure about it.

Interesting it’s accepted this way for non-Muslims, but when a Muslim woman covers her hair, it’s automatically seen as oppressive.

No it’s real. Look into hair being antennae. People with eg black hair like 4c hair channels solar energy better. People with straighter hair it often helps to cover it

@@monalisa3870 I don’t think you understand what a placebo is. scientifically speaking we can only see what our eyes reflect back to us so our perception of reality is very subjective by definition.
