This cracked me up, really made me smile. I was dealing with some Cricket Coaching covid guidelines feeling totally overwhelmed about all these new rules and regulations we have to follow with this Covid stuff and hey presto one of my subscribers comments made me laugh out loud. Glad you are enjoying the content. Should be dropping the 1st Line to Line connection at some point this week.
Thank you for your continued support.

@@toitfishing I absolutely love this channel .. I've been waiting for a channel like this for a long time.. I use to teach knot making skills in the US Army Ranger survival classes (not fishing knots but I'm a fishing freak so I'm kinda' addicted to those also) .. When you say grab a brew and settle in and watch.. man that's exactly what I do..;) Your series on the Pitzen knot really confirmed what I was seeing.. I think it was costing me some fish and now it's out the window.. Can't wait for the line to line connections coming up.. I'm anxious to see how the double Uni holds up.. Might have to ditch that one too.. We'll see.

@@chad9694 Great feedback and thank you for your continued support. Yes definitely looking at the Uni-Uni. These line to line connections don't have a hard wire or something to tie around so its braid on mono or braid on fluoro etc. The results I am also itching to see. Army Rangers sounds like a lot of fun, volunteering is great its always good to give back, the world would be a better place if everyone volunteered in some of their spare time. Tightlines.

@@toitfishing Thanks guy.. not trying to clog up your comment section but I did wanna tell you the Toit knot you developed works great. I have been using it since I found out about it and have pretty much replaced it over my standard trilene.. Nice n compact and looks great.. something about a good looking knot. See .. now you know I have knot issues when a knot looks sexy to me..;)

@@chad9694 That's great to hear, agreed, each fisherman has to like the knot he ends up siding with, we are all so passionate about our different styles and types of fishing, its a given that we would also be individually selective over our knot choices and does it meet our own standards. Don't worry about clogging up comment space, :)
Its one of my favorite things on RUclips is reading peoples opinions and ideas or thoughts on a particular video I am watching at any given time. Glad you like the Toit Knot.

You suggest the triple overhand knot for the slim beauty on some lb tests.

Mainly due to slippage of the double variant particularly on the thinner gauge lines. The braid really does put a pin point force on the Mono and Fluoro. Tightlines

Not sure where you would ever ties one of these knot in the main line. You just prove it is a bad idea.

Hi Frodo, you make a good point, and yes you would only ever use these in very few circumstances on their own like a breakaway knot on your sinker line, using the weakest of the bunch. It’s also very helpful to know the strengths of these knots as many are used in other knots like the Slim beauty and GT knot, and help to explain why other knots may be stronger. You could also use this info to improve your other knots. For example if you are using a Loop knot on a lure rig, and you opt to use the Rapala loop knot, by just changing this from a simple overhand to a figure of eight knot you will dramatically improve the strength of your knot, hope that helps. Thx for watching and Tightlines, have a nice weekend.
