      To be fair the building was derelict for many years but that paint was applied by Otis, can’t say who I work for here

      Ok maybe the company you work for won’t like it you would to well in the uk the kids over here wouldn’t have clue with the kit your working on it’s mostly been ripped out in London

      @@philipcollins3849 I like working on the older stuff, some of the new guys are keen but there is much to learn about Saturable reactors, Ward Leonard control, Air gaps in DC controls, suicide circuits, tape readers, valve timers, touch buttons with SCR or valve controllers with half wave rectified circuits,DC injection braking, AC levelling transducers, advance motors, pawl magnets, Selsyn generators and receivers, analog tachometers, magnetically latching relays……. all of which is now superseded by cheap AC VF or DC PWM control and an encoder, and if it doesn’t work you throw a new part in, and the diagnostics usually tells you what to replace.
