So glad you showed this method of closing off your project. This is the way I always finish off my work and find it is so much neater and easier than casting off from machine with a needle. Good job!
Thanks for the tut! I am going to make a bunch of these! They're so cute. I am also going to use your gathering method for doing the tops of beanies! That is so neat and tidy. I hate the other method that is so common.
Quick question: is there a reason not to assemble it at first like a beanie (i.e. cinching both sides and then double walling it) or does doing the double waste yarn method add more stability?
hi, I do mention in the video that there are two ways you can do this, by not using waste yarn and cinching like you mentioned or using the waste yarn. On the 22 pin i don't use waste yarn. On the 40 I do just to make it look a little neater. However, It's faster without the waste yarn.
Try a cute bunny next! Uses a 40 and 22 pin. ruclips.net/video/a4OTeNYK8-Q/видео.html

You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Made one of these with help from my mum with the crocheted part and filled it with wheat as a doorstop. Shes super cute!
Great idea! Wheat is a good plan! I tried rice but am afraid of it getting wet and ruined.
This is a fantastic video. Especially the crown of the chicken/rooster. So detailed! ❤️ Thank you!
You're welcome! Thanks for sharing I appreciate it!🙏😊👍
😊❤ these are going to be a great xmas present for my mother in law. I can't wait to get started on these 🎉
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! I have a 48 needles machine and made 96 rows and it turned out beautiful :)
You are so welcome!

@@CraftyTurtle thanks heaps! I wasn’t sure if it’d be more floppy without the waste yarn on the 46 needle. I’ll give both methods a go ☺️
Could the big one be made with the 48 pin and still be good?
Absolutely! Test out the rows to make it the shape you like best.
@CraftyTurtle thx I made one last night, I used buttons because I have no safety eyes. I totally LOVE IT!!!
Don't want to make it? Buy your own chicken here! craftyturtleco.com/product/chicken-plushie/
Yay! 🎉 So excited! Thank you so much!
You're very welcome!
Hello! ❤ I love your video! Do you mind me asking what these usually sell for at your markets? Thank you! ❤😊🙏
Hi the small ones are 14 but really depends on the area and season.
Hi, very cute and I need to make this but I only have the Addi 46 pin, would I need to do anything different since it is 6 less pins then the sentro?
I would make about 5 rows less than the instructions. Test it out and adjust to where you like it. Let me know what you find works best! 👍
@@CraftyTurtle thank you 😊
Adorable
Thanks😉
Hi, they are sooo cute, you mentioned they sell well, may I ask how much you sell them for, thanksdeb 🇨🇦
I sold the small for 8 and large for 10.
@@CraftyTurtle thanks for the info.. you are so talented💞
Did I miss about 22 addi abd how many rows to do? Is it the same?
Hi see 19:17 where I talk about it. it's a little bit of a different method just smaller! I think my bigger ones were more popular though.
I believe she said 46 rows on the 22 pin machine and 75? Rows on the larger machine
Wow ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks!!
i only have the 48 pin machene, could you try to make a video on that for me? im sorry to ask!
Not a problem! I think I can!
Hi! maybe it's just a different number of rows?
What size eyes on the 22 chick?
I believe i used a 16mm, though you could go bigger for cuter looks!
Mama fat chicken 😂-love it
Hehe 😅 thanks
That is a crochet hook btw!
Yes indeed. I use one for the crown. 🤗
Why do you have to use waste wool….why not just cast off as normally
You could do either method. I tried both and either works. The cast off makes it neater for me
