He stood up for both sisters without even realizing it. Kate got what’s she’s always wanted: to be free as well as Anna, Jesse and the rest of her family

I always thought this ending fit better than the book ending

Although I know the book ends differently, I always wondered what a sequel to this movie would be like. Granted there’s no need for a sequel. But I can’t help but wonder how Anna and Sarah’s relationship played out over the years. I always imagined she moved away and stayed in touch with her father, but not her mom. That over time resentment grew between them, and that the next chapter of her life would see them trying to mend that bond. Specifically, seeing whether Sarah every truly asked for forgiveness.

I think Sarah apologized to the whole family after Kate died and begged for Anna and jesse’s forgiveness and admitted what she did was wrong. But at the end of the film, for the first time in Anna’s life, her mother looks at her with such love and adoration

I wouldn't be surprised if they remained friends and Anna became a lawyer too

After what her mother did she should try to get completely emancipated from her parents. Id never talk to my mother again after that.

My sister has epilepsy and she is on medication for her seizures. If someone has a seizure they have to wait around 6 months until they can drive again.
