This is what I like about Zeta, they don't aim to get all three modes right and instead focus on a super accurate combined mode, which for me, is the most important mode anyway.
Especially if the price is right. When fantoys (if) finished their combiner, they will have some beautiful sets both combined and separate, BUT their combine cost will easily be over a 1000 dollars.

I hear you. Ive always like the warbotron/generations toys aesthetic, but these two are very different beasts. Both good in their own way but this is the G1 MP scaled Bruticus. Warbotron is too small
I was about to pull the trigger on one of these, but realized the box has both a boxys chest pictured on one side, and a rounded G1 accurate on the other side. How do I know which one I am getting, and does the box include both chest?. Thanks in advance.
The Metallic makes them POP as individual 'bots. As Bruticus, It really SHINES! I have wondered, from time to time, why another 3P or Zeta doesn't update their Designs? Get rid of the Kibble, make improvements and necessary adjustments. I would think they would SELL like Hot Cakes at their current Price Point of close to it. Thanks,
I was able to finagle a laser gun mode MP Shockwave to be held in his hands, but it was extremely hard and it kept falling. I wish Zeta would make a hand specifically allowing him to hold MP Shockwave, or an accessory kit that replaces the hand and a custom laser gun Shockwave ultra light for him to hold. That would be awesome.
Is it possible to purchase each figure in metallic separately cauE I really only want brawl and swindle and don’t care too much about the rest and I have no space for all of them or in combined mode

Great review. This is what I am using for my MP Bruticus and I have MMC for bot modes. I removed a ton of kibble from vortex and added some upgrades made by JimmyH to get him looking closer to G1. I would say skip the individual reviews as your overview showed enough info.
I did the same and removed a bunch of kibble from Vortex as well. Also on Blastoff, to slim down the arms some too. What were the upgrade pieces you got for Bruticon?

Hey Sony I just ordered this die cast version but I can't find any die cast version that says it is metallic and comes with the light up head with sounds. Is yours this model? I'm curious who at Zeta thought that designing Vortex with Movie Blackout's helicopter mode was a good idea...that just looks all kinds of bad. And to think people talked all kinds of smack about the Unique Toys Combaticons. 🙄🙄🙄 I can appreciate the color matched feet, too. Which reminds me: good luck tryna find it now, but there was a KO of the PerfectEffect PC09 set for CW & UW Bruticus where - despite the plastic color differences between Combiner Wars Bruticus & Unite Warriors Bruticus - the feet are color matched to Swindle & Brawl anyway. (Hasbro Brawl is kinda brown, Takara Brawl is kinda green; Takara Swindle is a shade of tan or two lighter than Hasbro Swindle) (Meant for combined mode...ouch. That's what folks said about the Unique Toys one.)

The colors look so good on the individual bots.Owning a second set of these would be nice since it’s on discount on TFsource right now even tho I don’t like the chest on the version now in combined mode
The paint really does make a difference in their presence, and I like the cartoon lines from the electronics however it doesn’t change my opinion, it looks cheaply made, poor quality plastics, I have the MMC version in toy variant and with the exception of MP scale I think it’s the best Bruticus set available, it’s not perfect by any means but I prefer it
"Kibble" refers to the alt mode parts dangling off of the robot mode. Sometimes it's as simple as a cape formed out of the vehicle shell, other times it's the vehicle parts getting in the way of the robot mode articulation. Vortex, for example, has so much of the helicopter hanging off of him that certain poses will be annoying because parts get in your way.

Overall it seems the same except the chest design is different, the paint is obviously done exceptionally well but the bots seem the same.

My Vortex came with one of his intakes/engines broken off inside the box. A (small) bunch of people had this problem too.

if you're going to double dip, I'd recommend the MMC for individual bots, they're fantastic
