McLaren's are in a class all by themselves. Totally gorgeous
2 years and 16,000 miles in mine and still loving it. I have to admit that my favorite thing about it may be the instant celebrity status you get when you show up anywhere.
Hahaha, yes people of all agents and backgrounds seem to love these cars…not sure if you still have your car - i think I will always hang on to my 570GT.
I've never sat in any supercar but I really like the idea that someone cares that much about visibility and confidence in the car. Especially for the GT character where traveling distances is the main task.
Love the white exterior with the tan interior.... I want it!
You are right about the insufferable bloggers. "Picking up my friends new super car"
LOOKING forward to the updates over the next few months on this... very cool spec
Filmed up over Nont Sara's, right near my house! You picked a guy up that I know of who drives a 240i! What a cool guy.
Good to see you running it in carefully 😉😂😈
As if maclaren have given you a brand new car for afew months and to top it all off let you spec it to how you want. Thats ace 😎
Peter benn pan The term: 'living the dream', springs to mind...
Sherlock535 yes very true and no doubt he will get to own another exotic car for afew months after he returns the maclaren. I could think of worser jobs lol 🙃
That road is also my favourite, drive it from Ripponden most nights, like that you went for a burn through Brighouse for good measure!
Very nicely specced Dan congratulations!
Fun review. I live just down the road and recognised those moorland roads well. Maybe I'll see you next time and we can see if my Yamaha MT-07 (which cost less than your GT 'tour pack' alone!) is actually quicker across the moors....
I put the same options on mine, as it to will be my daily" mid engine "car!
If youve never driven the S, how do you know the feeling (steering) is that diff. You said it feels softer..
Even though I'm personally not a big fan of McLarens in general (yes, yes... I know Im in the minority), I do like how you've specced this one. Probably one of the best looking McLarens I've seen so far. Not too shouty on the outside, yet nice and "luxurious" on the inside. The 570GT looks better balanced in terms of design compared to the other models IMHO.
One thing that would drive me nuts though, is the glare of the bright coloured dash in the windscreen. I saw that this is one of McLaren's own designs in the configurator, but in my opinion interiors always need to be dark coloured in places where they can reflect in the windscreen or rear window. With a bright colour it's like driving in fog...
Anyway... I'm looking forward to the updates over the upcoming months.
is that a bike on the roof I see in the shadow?? At 7:37
haha, what the hell is that??
Driving starts at 3:53 FYI
Not sure it suits bright colours, I think a dark hue makes the contrast between the lower lip and the body less, and such it doesn't look like it's smirking as much. Still, just my taste. Great vid as always
Hi, according to the spec sheet, you did add a sports exhaust but you say that you didn't bother! There was me thinking that sounds great for a standard exhaust but alas I was fooled!
What a stunning car! IMO carbon fibre on the interior is just an ego thing. I could easily live without it, unless of money was no object, then I'd tick all the boxes :)
My McLaren of choice.
I like the video, but wish he'd show more on the hardware end. We watch car videos because we like watching CARS.
Good stuff, +1 subscriber.
I would be interested to see the paladium bits wrapped with a carbon fibre - how close to the factory can you get for much less ?
scruffy wuffy non-functional carbon is tacky enough as it is! Wrapping things is carbon is a crime against humanity.
Blimey that car is clunky over bumps? Makes my aluminium F430 sound like a roller! 😂
:) Example for those insufferable bloggers:
WIFE SURPRISES HUSBAND WITH A BRAND NEW MCLAREN!!
Thanks, but no thanks, I couldn't live with the bang, crash, wallop ride quality so that's so evident in the video. I'd be worn out by the time I reached my destination. Other than that, it's a great car.
🎉
Should have bought a Honda civic
"Insufferable RUclips vloggers"
HAHAHAHAHAHA
NC500....
So if I could get 27000 subscribers would Mclaren give me a 570, of anytype to drive, or even a 540?
Malcolm Carrick well you need to control the one of the worlds biggest car forum
Sorry do not understand your answer!
I suspect this dude has a second job.
No...
Lovely car Dan. Pity about the non symmetrical white bit of collar showing above your jumper; it's virtually as bothersome to my OCD as the off centre plate on the back of the new disco, I just feel the constant need to step into the frame with the authority of your mother and sort it out just as she probably would before you entered the room at a family get together in that, 'come ere ya scruff!' kinda way, of course failing to spot the irony as she licked her fingers to stick a tuft of hair down. (ok, i wouldn't do the second part and your hair isn't at all tufty, but just to give you the general sense of the energy here...) If you weren't so well dressed it wouldn't be an issue, it's the fact that you are so very sophisticated today that the final 1% failure in the execution stands out so glaringly.
AH-HA!
What an inexperienced reviewer
Maclaren are the modern day TVR, fast, good looking but made of plastic and unreliable
Wrong wheels colours... McLaren GT deserve better than that.
