Hello dear Wouter, dear Sister D :) Thanks alot for this sharing. I am feeling glad, greatful and moved because it speaks to my need to connect authentically, in particular with regard to this topic. I have been feeling eager also to better understand this phenomenon and I have the sense that I could find a bit more clarity.
You shared that suicidal ideation is, or can become a pattern and that once we understand it, we can start replacing our old habits with new ones by learning to treat ourselves with kindness, learning to meet that need for emotional safety from within ourselves. What stayed with me also just after watching the talk is how the practice on the concentration on interbeing or impermanence can be helpful in challenging and transforming "wrong view". What also stayed with me is that the loved one that died is still alive in us and that I can take care of her/him right in my own conciousness by recalling positive memories, embracing their despair within myself and learning to accept and forgive the loved one with respect to taking her/his own life.
Thanks Sister D for making that efford to share although you have been feeling "under the weather" and thanks Wouter for publishing. I am deeply grateful, it has nourished trust and inspiration in me. ( It has come at the right time since a well- cherished person in my community just recently passed from suicide)
    Best wishes,
    Francisco

So beautiful and heartfelt. Thank you for sharing so deeply Sister Dang. I love your insight into transmission and transformation. I think many of us walk around not knowing how powerful we are in our capacity to touch others for better or for worse. Thank you for these reminders.

I am 71, and a member of the Order of Interbeing. I also have a Google Account. I think this might have been useful to me. Unfortunately Google are requiring credit card or other personal details which I am not willing to share. So it looks as though I'll have to give this a miss.

I am watching the video on a Google browser and didn't get asked to pay anything. Perhaps you could try using a different browser, such as Mozilla which protects user's privacy a bit more than Google.
