JS was master of live performances. His musicians were top notch who came to perform and entertain. That was his style. He showcased his team and they never disappointed. I promoted him 3 different times in Canada over 7-8 years and he never disappointed. They were an amazing team. RIP uncle Jagjit.

Jagjit. and Chitraji have been a part of our family for more than 40 yrs. jagjit s legacy transcends music ghazals singing compositions etc. His life was focused on helping others... young singers, musicians, audience, his organizers, poets and everyone he had any contact with". Those who have known him upclose in a non musical setting know that his idea of living and having fun was to always be finding a way to help others.
He is a perfectionist. The use instruments in ghazal is mind blowing. This make him different from another legend Ustad Mehdi Hasan. But Mehdi Hasan is master of vocals and awesome way of renditioning difficult lyrics.
If someone have more knowledge about these two legend please explain the difference in a positive. FYI all the ghazal singers consider Mehdi Hasan sahab their Guru. After Mehdi Hasan sahab the second best is Jagjit sahab.
