Hi Daniel! I hope things are going better. I encourage you to trust in Jesus Christ. God has completely changed my life, showing me that my purpose is found in Him, and that I have no reason to worry because He is in control over every detail, from small to big. 1 Peter 5:7 says "casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." This verse brings me so much comfort knowing God cares for His children. I really encourage you to trust in Jesus today, because He alone can give you true life and it's amazing! Praying for you Daniel!
I actually just said to myself, there is no need to stress about all the chaos and pressure I feel. As long as I get to do this soon and later in life, then why should I ever stress there is way too much beauty in this world.

And it's awesome that you showed us that it's possible to do some solo camping and still able to feed yourself a hearty meal without having to eat freeze dried/vacuum sealed food and/or MREs. I just want to say that Im coming back to this video to place a comment. Whether you see it Drew or not, I still want to share it with you and your fans. I became a fan of yours a while back, on an older account that I regretfully forgot the password to. You see, I was a fighter pilot. Specifically in the Navy. Ever since I was a kid and saw Top Gun I knew what I wanted to do, and I did. On one of our missions in early 2019, I ended up on a mission where my wingman Riot(keeping his name undisclosed other than his call sign) was shot down and his ejection had malfunctioned and ended up dying in the crash. It really screwed me up. My wife, bless her to the moon and back, was understanding and supportive. I wasn't drinking but it really screwed me up and it affected me to the point where I got severely depressed for months. I neglected everyone. I very slowly started doing things, showering, eating, watching RUclips, going back to the gym and spending time with my family. Then thats when I come to you. This video. This video forced me out of the house and back in the wilderness. I used to hunt, fish, hike and go camping all year around. But when I saw this video, I went out traded in my car for Wrangler, got everything I needed and spent 6 months out in the wilderness with my wife living out of the wrangler. It was... amazing. So much so that we actually just got back a few days ago. Drew, thank you. I don't think you would have expected a video like this to affect someone like me so much, but it did. It made me realize what I had. What I was ultimately looking for, and most of all... a chance to forgive myself for Riot and to stop blaming myself because ultimately at the end of the day, there was truly nothing I could have done. This trip I took with my wife that last 11 months could've gone really bad or really good. But it made us so much closer, brought us to a new level. She's from Canada and we moved here temporarily to take another trip. We leave in a month, after Christmas. The trip did so much for us, I finally opened up to her about Riot and other missions that had affected me and she opened up to me too, it was definitely a wild ride but one we both clearly needed. I realized so much there and I truly believe I owe you all of my success with my mental health over the course of the last year. Thank you, Drew. One day, I hope to meet you, hope to have you meet my wife and thank you.
Your skills in photography and film making paid off. The quality of your videos is outstanding. I also like the music you chose for the underscore: it really relaxes me with those scenic shots. When the bird rested on you hand, it reminded me of Disney's "Song of the South". Hi Drew. Thank you so much for your videos. They are the best I have seen. I look forward to lots more. I do so love the snow. It's the nearest I will ever get to see snow. Where I live in the UK, we never have snow. I'm 72 and have Cancer. So I will never get to go abroad. My dream was always to go to Canada. But sadly it will never happen now, I'm to sick to go far these days. I can't beleave how you cook proper meals for yourself. Good on you. It's nice to see a man making an effort. I literally have been setting up my Excursion all summer for This and I'm finally done and so excited for winter. Snow runs and views. The whole purpose of a excursion lol.
THIS right here is my dream.. being alone somewhere with all that snow , seems so peaceful and free .. would give up everything just to have that kind of peace in my horrible life
A friend showed me your videos today. I can 't stop watching your beautiful landscape videos and choice if music and I am admiring your lifestyle. Keep going and good luck!
Amazing! Every scene is a nice photography. Everything perfect! My English is not so good and it's hard when you talk fast, anyway, I loved this video. That scene with birds was special! Regards from Brazil 🇧🇷
Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words!
The twinkle lights were my favourite detail!
Really stunningly beautiful. Even if you hate snow. And that cabin perched up on the top of that area with an unobstructed view of Mt Hood is breathtaking.
Living the Dream, great editing and those birds landing on your hand was awsome !! I've just subscribed, cheers
Thanks Johnny!
WOW, those drone pics are amazing!
20:00 The composition of that shot is just perfect
when you opened your tent you saw a beautiful mountain covered in snow oh god this is my dream :)
It was a perfect morning 🙌🏻
Im really appreciating your project, you’re living my dream. Keep going!❤️
Love to hear that. Thank you!
Keep sending the videos. God Bless you, and stay safe. 💜💚💙
just started watching your content man, its amazing, can tell you put a lot of hard work into it. the cinema is off the charts
I don’t usually watch 30 min vids all the way but I did this one! You take some amazing shots and bring a whole other level to “vlogging”. When I get the money I would love to build a rig and do something like this. Keep it up man 😁
Love to hear that! Thanks Kyle!
So beautiful nature I enjoyed this vlog
Life is short. Sometimes we have to do this great experience in life.
As a friend keeps reminding me .....................We can only do these things in this life
@@G4RY1159 and we only have one life. We will never have a second chance,so do it while we can
Yup that's very true. And this pandemic has emboldened that very fact. I would not mind isolating myself into the laps of nature once in a while. I am pretty sure it will give us a very different and meaningful perspective of our lives. Cheers to life.
No better time than now to take the first step
@@drewsimms true dat
That footage is incredible! You need a show on travel channel AND food network.

So awesome man love this sort of adventure spending days out in incredible nature and it seems your Jeep is the perfect travel home, great set up and video
That vehicle is a beast.
Glad you like it!
Jeeps the best, I've owned one for almost 18 years and it hardly break down. Very reliable and consistent.
For the frozen olive oil, heat a pot of water, turn off the flame and set the oil in it. Should thaw quickly.
The drone shots are INSANE. I can only hope to get to that level one day. But it’s tough when you’re with your friends and they’re waiting on you to finish flying your drone around lmao
