@@ericramos4992 just bc athletes do it for recovery and spend extended time in ice baths doesn’t mean anything. it’s usually a routine recovery, afterwards most of them huddle in the sauna, not to mention not every ice bath gets all the way down to 32 degrees, and a 15 minute cold plunge is completely pointless, the benefits don’t do much physically past 5-8 minutes. but he’s right, if you haven’t done ice bath before (or even if you have before in the past) your body can go into shock from the sudden change in temperature, not everyone’s body can adapt that quickly. sometimes you’re muscles will spasm and you physically can’t lift yourself out of the ice.
When you finally get the courage to go out there and start breaking the ice, the time that it takes to break the ice makes it so hard to stay motivated to not re think doing it. Good job dude💪💪💪

Until you thaw out it is kind of painful lol. You don’t notice external temperature much after that because your body is frozen numb. Thawing out stings like a bitch lol

In my country winter is longer than summer, so it's just common sense for everybody, but it seems not to be so for all these influencers. If you don't care about your kidneys, at least tell this to your audience

'cause without wetting top of your head when you cold your body. all the energy ( also in form of heat) suddenly spurr up directly to the head & that's not good in long run. I would recommend the Winhof breathing method. He has a 10 week course using cold showers it helps immensely with my heart rate and is probably the only reason I’m able to do cold showers.

I may try this in the summer time. My body has a problem with getting cold, and my shakes get terrible, it’s so painful. But I finally just got back in the gym after a few years off.. but this is the most mass I’ve ever had to start with so I’m excited about it. My muscles were so sore after my first 2 days workouts, I was thinking of even a cold shower. But I was like fuck it im not there yet. When Az summers hit, it’ll be easier I think tho 😂
