The crafting floodgates have opened!! Ahh! So happy you're back and I love ALL your crochet, Tommi! 💖🤗🛼⚡ The scrappier, the better. And now I totally want to make a granny square bag.
Very nice to see you again! Love your crochet sweater, it’s going to be great. I don’t know about crochet methods to get a neat transition but you could knit a kind of band and sew it over the transition so you get a nice stripe in the back, in the colour of the bottom ribbing maybe??? You could try a bit and see how it looks… or embroider a bit over it, or just leave it as it is…😊
I love your crochet sweater you are making. I am loving your crochet. I also LOVE crochet. I do knitting mainly, but you're making me want to make another wearable garment in crochet. Your spinning is gorgeous. I will always follow you and sure have missed you!
Great to see you for the first time. I have never lined (nor made) a bag. But I just got a basic sewing book, so maybe I will. I learned to knit 1.5 years ago (July 1 is my knitaversary - obsessed) and learned to crochet 2 years ago :-) I'm learning all the things in my 50s.
Glad you are back! Super missed you ❤! I am working on some knitted shorts! The pattern is the Twisted Tea Shorts by Brianna Luppino. A crochet 🧶 tip; when changing colors on last stitch of the old color; you for example set up a single crochet stitch with the two loops and go through both of them using the new color. 👍🏽☺️ happy crocheting! 🧶
Always great to hang out with you,my yarn sister! Love that cute tank top and your granny square bag. You are a bit too young to remember-but that crochet top is very Groovy-very 60’s-70’s vibe to me. You will rock it. Always enjoy your creativity and willingness to just wing it. Way to go!💜wendy in Oregon
I just now found you. Your makes are BEAUTIFUL! I think TL Yarncrafts made a crochet raglan and had hints how to join. It’s an older video, so you may have to search. I just love the color of the sweater you’re wearing. It looks very nice on you.
Hi!!!!! And I have not sewn in a liner for a bag……yours looks fantastic! I am impressed with your daughters doll! It’s adorable! Sooo much work, but I might have to give it a try!❤
Wow hey Tommi! So nice to have a visit and see all your amazing new makes! Love the adorable toys for your kids. That doll hair requires some serious patience. I have been meaning to cast on a Halu and have yarn for it and yours is so pretty. Definitely catch us up on the books next time. Toni Lipcey of TLYarn crafts has some very good crochet content and tutorials maybe she has some advice for jogless stripes in crochet for that super cute sweater.
I know I'm super late, but the method I use to join a new yarn/color is before you do the final pull through both loops (2 loops on your hook being pulled through into 1), add your new color. So when you resolve the final 2 loops into 1, use your new color to pull through! Hopefully that made sense :)
It's good to see you again! Sometimes life takes over but at least you are keeping your hands busy when you can. Wow, 5 and 2, seems like yesterday you were waiting for River to come into this world and Lucy was playing with the chickens. Hope to see you again soon, keep crafting!!! ❤
I'm so glad you recorded again. I love all the crochet going on and the spinning is great too! I have not personally lined a bag before but I'm planning on making a bag soon so I'll be getting there eventually. I'm also curious if you've still been skating. You 100% inspired me to start rollerskating again but I haven't gone out in almost a year.
What a wonderful surprise to see you pop up on RUclips again. You’ve been missed! I appreciate your ability to “just do it” when you get it in your head to learn to crochet a doll for Lucy or a pinecone (!? How did River just come up with the idea that he wanted a pinecone?!) They both turned out beautifully and I especially love River’s pinecone! I don’t crochet much, if any, but the Ariana Cardigan by Amy Christoffers might be something you like. Some of Dutch knitting/crocheting friends have been working on that pattern and it is an interesting design you might be interested in. It was fun to catch up with you and see you you’ve been up to while I finished off the toes of a pair of socks I was working on. Hope to see you again soon. Salam wa sa’aadah
❤wow!!!!!you had alot done!!! Love all the crochet you have done!!!that 🛍️ bag. !!perfect!!! And the crochet sweater!!!!🎉 Sweet socks!!I need a plain pair! Love ur style!! ELAINE 🏠💗
Hi Tommi! Great to catch up on your projects. ❤ I just knit up a raglan sweater holding a skein of your non superwash fingering in the color Waxing with a suri alpaca from the farmers daughter and it is the softest, loveliest top to wear!! I also wanted to let you know that Tanis Fiber Arts recently released a couple granny square garments- I think both a pullover and a cardi. Might be worth checking them out! Have a lovely afternoon, Kate
Hi Tommi, just watched this podcast, welcome back. I love your brioche scarf and have one knit my list to do. I know you said the edge of yours was not neat, but then you changed the last stitch. What did you do to make it better. Your ravelry page says you slipped the last stitch. Is that the better way to do it? Thanks. Chris
It's so cool to see you again. I have lined bags, but never crocheted one. I suggest you look at the costs a Sarah" podcast English version she has mad some cool crocheted granny square garments and is a character to watch. enjoyed your podcast watching from autumn in New Zealand. I love your sweater
Hi Tommie, you have been missed! Hope your children and hubby are doing well! Granny squares are great! Here’s a couple of channels that love them too....Sarah @ It’s aSarah, Jana @ Finnish Knitting Stories, and Julia @ The Happy Knitting Podcast!🦋 Sarah and Jana are into making toys too!🐥🐇🐞Sew the doll some bangs to over the color change!
Nice to meet you I've got a channel and I took a little bit of time I've been MIA I had to get my mental health straight I lost my daughter she was 21 beautiful inside and out so I had to take some time to heal I started crocheting to cope and I just needed some time I'm so alone nice to meet you my name is Pamela McGuire
Tommie, check out Annie Hooks and Heelers podcast on Hexagon cardigan on changing colors and starting new color! I don’t trust the magic knots! I’m a long time crafter and having a knot come apart with no extra yarn would be the worst! Enjoy!🦋
So happy you are back i have actually the last days looked at your older videos and i LOVE your bookshelf and book content. You have been missed!!!💖🪶☕🫖🍵🥧🧶🪡🧵🕯📓📚🖋🎬♾🎮Warm hugs coming your way all the way from Sweden

It's like an addiction, the scraps! I am so into the idea of a Kristen color schemed granny square bag!
Your two years old wanted a pinecone!!! Loved that😂😂😂 Mine would want a stone…
