Found it. You use the tool to scrape out the dirt/gunk between the seal and the fork. You can do the same thing with a hooked piece of soft plastic like a key tag.
I did this by cutting a piece out the side of a thin plastic milk bottle. It worked, seals were good just had crap in them. Still had to do the oil though. it's been a year, I'm still leak free.
i was told that my right fork seal needed to be replaced when i bought my bike back in december. i don’t really notice any problems still to this day but this is my first bike so maybe i just don’t know what to look for. it definitely leaks oil. is it threatening to my safety to not change it ASAP?
It could leak on ur brakes and make ur brakes not work, also the top comment says uneven oil levels could lead to a tank slapper which is when ur steering goes left to right very violently
just did this on my RG125 ..it was a new seal that leaked .i must have folded the inner lip of the seal .running some plastic round lifted it out .now perfect
Very dangerous. If you get uneven fork oil, this is one of the reasons why people get tank slaps
Who cares.
@@Dirkadew that's helpful thank you
My left seal is blown and I get the slaps on turns past 45

No you dont
pull the dust covers again to double check.
You didn't show us anything
I was hoping the comments would explain the “magic”

Yeah it’s threatening to yourself and other riders
Hell yes it is, it's what connects your wheels to the frame we are talking about
The biggest concern I say would be oil leaking onto your brakes. You ain’t stopping after that happens
