- From media-studies dropout to international jihadist to Syria’s ruler, Ahmed al-Sharaa has an unlikely résumé. He speaks with our editor-in-chief, sharing hopeful-sounding hints (www.economist....) of his vision-but precious little detail. Japan’s economy has been hobbled by low inflation for years; is that now in the past (www.economist....) (14.05)? And the lucrative media gigs (www.economist....) of Britain’s lawmakers (21.30).
Special thanks to Mamoon Alhidayat, our interpreter in Syria.

President Al sharaa is a great and confident leader who will steer Syria into a developmental and open mided country.

The West is really disgusting. The same questions every time and the same boring details. In Syria we only think about how to eat
I hope Syria will recover and the people will be ok and prosper... I aldo abhor the way countries are destroyed...
and apparently how to comment on RUclips videos as well
@@Resurrescion
Sorry, I don't mean to offend Westerners, they are kind and nice. I mean the media and leaders who consume the same discourse at a time when women, children and men are only concerned with filling their stomachs.
@@Resurrescionwhenever you read this comment, know this, it never is directed at the people's of the western countries. Anyone with a somewhat sound mind knows people are seldom truly represented by their governments. Both the media and the polies are owned, bought and paid for by the Z heads.
I think that the most pressing issue right now is the rights of LGBT groups in Syria. Isn't it? For god's sake, why no one is asking what the international community will do to bring Assad and his murderers to justice? What the "civilized world" will do to help Syria rebuild? The real pressing issues are to preserve the peace, to bring murderers to justice, and to rebuild the county.
Why are you so offensive?
What is Al Kaida? Whether this name really exists or it is “invented” in the US for a special event such as 9/11?
😂 ربما اختراع
