@@WyattLite-n-inn i wouldn't really be able to compare the two as being less thought out than the other. They can be used together as well for very interesting results (arp to HAPAX midi fx etc)
@@RonCavagnaro Yes, you seem to be able to get your head wrapped around different devices in detail, Ron.. I subscribed to your channel, curious to see your future Midicake tutorials ..
Haha, the mat. It's just green screen material wrapped around a heavy wooden board. I've made several boards in different colours for filming. I say heavy because you need something quite thick (12 or 18mm) so it doesn't flex then filming close up. Proper green screen material (amazon) and good lighting is key for the Chroma Key effect.
Nice tutorial, but it took me while to figure out that the notes were scrolling in the wrong direction 😜 Music is usually notated left to right, so music videos display it scrolling right to left.
Awesome gear i hope to cover this as soon as i get thru my hapax tutorial series !!!
That is great news. Hope you are going to use V7 version.
@@johngilbert184 i plan to start at basics and build up. Will make sure im updated to latest

Omg. That drum hack is brilliant!!!
thanks man! I have been eyeing the midicake arp for a while, thinking about using it in this way, but very hard to find demos like this.
Great tutorial, i really must start using ARP as more of an instrument in itself 🙌
This is GREAT! Gotta get my midicakeARP out more often to play around. Thanks for sharing.
LOVE
THIS !
Yeah! Midicake Arp is so much fun to play around with. Perfect for DAWless jamming with your favourite synthesizers. Very nice video. Thanks so much 👍
Excellent result but more interesting to hear the thinking aloud part. Nicely shows how simple it is to have fun on ARP.
Interessantes Video !!!
Nice demo, I love arpeggiators to drums
Dude! Is that a desk mat? Where can I get one?

I've done videos with the visualisations running in different directions. I take your point though. Cheers.
