he takes longer to hit asc while playing an agent is because 1. he hasnt played that agent cuz its new to he has to learn it, or 2. he needs to make sure the series is entertaining and interesting for the viewers. hope this helped!

Crouching compresses your hitbox making you an easier target and you're way slower

I usually play ares, odin when I play cyper because I normally use one-ways. The enemy team tilt 70% of the time

The ares is really useful to break stuff ( if you can connect the shots). The rifles nowna days just don't have enough ammo, you aren't very likely to runout, but the risk and psychological effects are still there.
I remember one game, I was constantly picking the ares to instantly break the sage wall on split mid at the start of the round, my raze kills the sage, and I pickup the sages vandal ....
It also applies to kj turret and deadlock walls, since it is a low cost gun.....
As a sova main i love the ares and odin but i only use them on lotus and ascent bc they have many wallbang spots. (And before anyonr says it only works in low elo, i am asc 1)
I remember always tilting when dying to operators because they're a one body shot kill and back in the day it was even one legshot kill so it got annoying really fast
From what I've seen the Odin's evaluation at higher levels has been going up recently; on mid ranges and with good experience the Odin shoots like a 100 bullet phantom and feels so easy to use.
Ares on the other hand feels bad because it's like the Negev from counter strike - if u turn on the shooting error graph u find out its spray becomes less random the longer u spray. But nobody realizes that and they only see the first few bullets that are worse than the frenzy

I agree that not alot of people use the ares. But I'll think more recently more people have started to use the Odin more. Because people realize now how good it is now. Not to mention the wall in val are paper thin on some maps lol
I dont really like the ares cuz of the fast ammo depletion. But the odin is crazy good on lotus and ascent so i use it from time to time
I remember one of my matches where we went 12-3 in Lotus and then the enemy team the next round bought and spammed odin till the score went 12-11. Fortunately we won that match. So annoying to go up against those odin spammers. (Silver elo)
the odin is actually so good if you know how to use it, and its always funny seeing players get mad at you xD
Usually when I’m doing pretty bad I go with a ares or an Odin if I can’t tap heads in game I might as well use a gun that doesn’t rely on headshots. Then all of a sudden I’m getting kills. (Sentinel player) Yet again my squad only go against mainly diamond or lower players. My squad which are mainly diamond/plat players are shocked how insane my Odin or even stinger is.
So it’s always good if you’re having an off day with the usual guns is to just try a different gun.
Its odd cause i have the singularity ares and its easier for me to spray and get kills with it i think i get more kills in ares than odin just because everytime i force and not enough money its either the spectre which alot of people are buying than the ares
I remember once i was trying to kill a kj turret with an ares by burst firing. For the whole time, not one shot connected, and I got killed by the turret, FROM FULL HP...(Burst firing is just my comfort zone...)

To put it simply,
only the phantom and vandal are the 2 weapons that are a solid 6-8 in all categories, while every other gun is just 10/10 in only one, but 2/10 or 3/10 in all the other categories. The key here is to recognize the situation these are viable in, and play accordingly.

For ares, the problem is that it is just as short range as the specter, and for the same price, it doesn't feel like it has a trade off in the same way that phantom and vandal do. If the SMGs were short range and the LMGs were long range, that could make sense

I think the main issue is that you don't play the machine guns like machine guns very much. It's definitely a much different playstyle to vandals. You fought range a lot which got you killed or was slow to kill them.
The best strength is wallbangs. It's best to use it where you know enemies hide, or with marked enemies from cypher sova fade, or as a counter to them.
Ares is one of my favorite weapons not going to lie. I buy it a lot and have massive success with it. I play differently with it than when i have a vandal because it's not a vandal. You can't treat it like a rifle same as a sniper or shotgun
You should not play Odin as a Vandal. You need to abuse its main strength which is High penatration and Big magazine capacity
I had an amazing 1v4 clutch with the ares with 3 people facing me and its godly once you know how to control the spray

don't get me wrong tho aeres can carry in low elo in certain maps with close range fights. After remembering this gun exists i went from bronze 1 to silver 3 lol
u need to crouch wayyyyy more if u want to use ares, its easier to only crouch than only ads
idk about other MG mains, but from my experience when using MGs is to always crouch shoot with ADS

The ares was a decent gun before they did that stupid buff then Nerf shit. Original ares was actually usable with horizontal recoil being low. Then they nerfed it to the ground 😢

In machine gun u have to spray and drag mouse as much as possible and when u play Odin make sure u scope so u have a fast firing rate and crouching in Odin and she's gives u a lot more stability in aim😅😅
