    Just picked up this fan!! Got the deal at home depot, purchase the 18V Lithium Starter Kit (4Ah Battery 2Ah and Charger) for $99.99 and got the Whisper fan for free. Where heading to Loudon NH Tomorrow morning with our old Lance Legend 880 Truck Camper (boon docking) and need a fan for over night trying to sleep. Got the Batteries charging now. Great job on the review!!

    Product reviews don’t get any better than this! Super clear and comprehensive. Great reminder up front that such fans are foundational essentials (great use of the hierarchy pyramid.) Love the fence attachment feature and extra uses you mentioned. Super great review!

    Was trying to find the CFM info but no where to be found. Not on the home depot site or other RUclips videos. You’re the only one. Thank you

    What's the runtime on batteries?

    I just got this fan with the deal of two batteries. Mine does not have that noise yours has in low.

    Can it be plugged into 110, and automatically switch to battery power if 110 is lost?

    • @ExpeditionLightbulb
      @ExpeditionLightbulb  Год назад

      Yes it can be plugged into 110, but it doesn’t switch automatically. You have to remove the plug first so you can attach the battery.

    Thanks for the review. I just snagged this as a promo. $59 for tool, 2ah and charger. Hard to pass it up compared to the alternative I was considering, the m12. Plus with the HD tool “hack”, I got two 4ah batteries for $40.
    I’m always curious about the duration of these tools with various batteries. That would be a great discussion point since the ryobi website only mentions 4ah on low (10 hours)

      Believe me, this fan will run much longer than 10 hours on low with a 4 ah battery. It's more like 30 hours or more.

      how is the 2ah? I got the same deal, but that annoying hum i heard goes away with cheAPER BATTERY.

    I’m sorry I had to point this out. You said this fan is geared towards construction workers but then said you didn’t like that the fan starts on 3 for those who might be in a noise sensitive environment lol well this fan isn’t made for office workers, I’d say 75-90% of people are going to be using this fan full blast on high. Which is the first setting, thus eliminating constantly bypassing speed 1 and 2 to get the speed we know we all want, speed 3.

      lmao it's a standard extension cord connection. no idea how one doesn't fit.

      @@BryanMiraflor i ordered "power" cords instead of "extension" cords from monoprice and none fit.
      i gave up on this for months until your reply.
      I now know "extension" cord is not the same as a "power" cord. haha
      i know this is hilarious. laughing at myself but feel good i now know.

    so what is your favorite fan?
    i like my vornado. wonder how this one compares.

    • @ExpeditionLightbulb
      @ExpeditionLightbulb  Год назад +1

      Our favorite is the Whisper Fan because of its long battery life.

    I suspect the improvements are largely due the less restrictive grate design of the new model.

    This video is merely an advertisement prompting viewers to subscribe to his channel, rather than providing a Ryobi review. After a minute of this and the Google ads, I ceased watching.

      Thanks for commenting, it boosts his video in the algorithm. This is a review not an advertisement dummy. He's not sitting on a beach saying hey buy this fan and you'll be so cool bikini girls will show up with cold drinks and music will start playing. If you don't like the video just move on, it'll do more damage to a channel's retention analytics than being wrong in their comment section...just a few words of advice.
