- In this video we take you to Highland Park, a neighborhood of Los Angeles. Highland Park these days has a reputation for crime, but it wasn't always like that. Come with us to discover the history of one of the oldest neighborhoods in California. #travel #losangeles #highlandpark
Here is a copy of the map I used for this walk www.angelswalkla.org/wp-conte...

One of the cards I use is Quicksilver MasterCard by Capital One. The card is worldwide with no annual fees, no exchange fees, and you get 1.5% cashback on all purchases. Here’s my Quicksilver referral link: capital.one/3cX6oVq
An new card I am also using is the Venture X card. It costs $395 a year, but it is a great card for travelers. It is visa so it is accepted world wide, no exchange fees, you get priority lounge access, global entry, $300 travel credit, and the points earned work on almost every travel program in the world (and always transferable).

Wonderful video tour of Highland Park. I grew up in Boyle Heights during the 60s and 70s. I remember Frank's Camera. It was always very busying. I was just getting into photography back then and the staff at Frank's were always very friendly and helpful to me. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
That is cool, I would have loved to see a lot of these shops back in the day.
fantastic brother thanks❤
Thank you, it was an interesting walk

Lucky your wife is there to keep your facts straight.`Thanks for the tour, i've only been to L.A. a handful of times for short visits. Love the Joni Mitchel reference, they've paved paradise and put up a parking lot. -Marc
Yes she does keep me in track and I figured someone would get the reference 😁
Lol every man's wife 😅
Love the old fire station ❤😊 cool mural ❤️🇲🇽
Thank you, yes it was a fun walk.
isn't it cool going back in time! one of my favourite things to do
Yes, sometimes if I stop in a place and concentrate hard enough in what a place was like my imagination is almost feels like time traveling.
Great tour of LA! Thanks for sharing New Friend!
Thank you for coming along for the journey
Love the murals!
Those murals were kind of a cosmic preview of what I saw last week. Look for some very interesting videos.
Very interesting murals

Howdy howdy, I was at a football game yesterday during the Stoll but I am happy to say I just watched this awesome video. I loved all of the historical facts that were given. The firehouse was awesome. Great video !! BTW, This Florida boy lived in LA/Simi Valley for a year and a half a long time ago :).
No worries, appreciate you stopping by, so do you prefer the humid heat to the dry heat?
Very welcome. I prefer the humidity :) @@pedrozatravel

It was pretty epic, like Indiana Jones but in real life.
Hola friend 👋👋 we'll hop on ❤
Thank you, hope you enjoy the video. It is a walk of Figueroa St. Kind of a run down neighborhood now, but has some interesting history. This video shows where the first Forever 21 store was located.
@@pedrozatravelwe will also hope for the best 😂 opps darn fingers 🤌
Correction the guy with the black mask next to Cesar Chavez is comandante Marcos from the zapatistas movement in Chiapas México great documentary love it

Hello host❤
Hello and welcome.
My old stomping grounds
Cool! Hopefully some things are still familiar.
So since when has the Guatemalan restaurant been there?? It seems you were about to say then got interrupted.
It has been there since 1985.
High end suburb to records for prostitution. Very unexpected! The theatre looked cool.
Yes, things definitely changed over time, but things seem to be changing again. I hope for some urban renewal in the area.
