had same issue adjust the needles in your slides usually runs best on the #3 - #4 notch.. clean carbs real good. make sure your slides when installed in your carbs have the half moon shaped facing out towards your airbox! NO FLAT BOTTOMING OUT!! sync carbs by the adjusters on your cables..also make sure your slide guides (little nipples in your carb are pushed in to guide your slide up and down and not let them spin). your banshee sounded exzactly like mine.. took some time to figure it out after much trouble shooting and time!
no, it wasnt anything with the slide, needle or any of the common sythoms. my left carb wasn't working " i bought another set for 100$ almost new. and the BOG the way to fix it is by screwing IN your itle screw. now my SHEE runs AWSOME.
My banshee was misfiring on the right side, I cleaned carbs n jets, replaced plugs. Found out there was a hose connected to both carbs In between them, it had a hole. I replaced n ran normal.
redneck4life887 no, was my right carb. ive fix the problem just that i havent uploand a video about it but soon i will, also another video how to install a battery on it.
Your crankshaft may be out of phase. Mine had the same problem and I tried everything to do with carbs and nothing fixed it. This is because the left cylinder is on the stator/timing side and the right isn't so the right side piston isn't in position for combustion when the plug is sparking causing the unburnt fuel you see on the floor . If you also have extreme vibration this is definitely your problem.
Clogged main jet! Do a carb tear down and clean then you’ll be just fine. If you’d like to find out pull the choke and you should idle the way you want push choke you’ll idle on one cylinder pull choke you’ll idle and both will fire. It’s a clogged main jet
Definitely clean the carbs, dual full tune on them and make sure the carburetors are straight up and down when they’re back on the banshee because the one that’s not puffing smoke that carburetor is completely sideways
I would try to get ur carbs linked together, so like pull the airbox off and see if the carbs are synced together and have the same amount of gap on both side when idle and giving gas or check spark on the bike
Hey, I'm seriously thinking of replacing my stock 34mm PJ carb with a 35mm Air Striker. I only have one carb on my trx250r and recognize that sound well. Instead of listing all I've done, here's what I haven't: Replaced the carb, stator and amature, and CDI. The stator reading is within specs. When I replaced the coil, I did have stronger fire, but still runs poor and fouls plugs fast. Would you replace the carb? thanks
We just had this same problem trust me before you spend stupid money trying to narrow everything down. Check your jetting first our was jetted too fat so fuel was just dumping into the one cylinder before it had a chance to fire so we re jetted it and now running great.
Mine runs good at idle, but the left pipe is hotter then the left n the left pipe throws out less smoke then the right. Is this the same issue? You jus fr jetted it and put new jets in, like the main pilot or what?
Need your help. I recently got a banshee and needed to rejett it and see what's jets were in it. I went 1 clip down to 2nd and now my right cylinder is backfiring with sparks and running cooler with less smoke. I've messed with air screws and that didn't help. Was running fine before rejett except being really rich.
rejjeting.. it all come on what you have,or if you have added any aftermarket parts, pipes, carbs, reed, ect.. first try putting back your needle clip back to were it was.and if the problem still the same, the chances are that your air screw will be the problem. adjust one carb at a time.. count your turns. both carbs dont have to be on the same amount of turns for the bike to run good.
Fadhel Albloushi is the dead cylinder firing? if it is then its not getting fuel and by leaving it running u probably destroyed ur motor. No fuel means no oil
yeah, i believe are the reeds since i took everything aprart to check my pisotons rings ect also to replace my gaskets since MY dum ASS put the old ones by aiccident but gaskets werent the problem.. Reeds are im 99.9% sure since i switch them and now my right pipe kick like a mada F... and left side is bad as when my righ side was.. so reed must be replce.
the problem was my right carb.. i guess the prebious owner made an extra hole, when he removed the torn system. i try patching the hole with many things but the problem was still there, till i decide to be another pare of carbs. and since then my SHEE has never gave me any problems again..
feli lira another thing you can do which I also did was, switch the carbs left side to right side And Right to left.. this way you can see if the problem happens to the other side.. since the carbs are going to be switch. if the one side that was bad when the carbs were in there original place starts doing the samething now that there are switch, then you will know its the carb or something inside the carb.
feli lira Thanks for the response. i figured my problem, after taking both my carbs apart several times i noticed my right carb wasn't getting any gas every time i took them apart the right one was always dry so i adjusted the floats and replaced the plunger... put it back together and started in one kick idling great with no bog
if your having the same problem. its your Carburator, from the side that its not getting hot. the best way to know if its the carburator swith them. you will just need longer tubes"hose", that connect both of the carbs.or check if the carb from the side that its not getting hot has an extra hole beside the idle screw if you remove the TORNS. . if anything Email me.
Mr. Elf did you ever figure out what was wrong with it because I am now experiencing the same thing where on my clutch side which would be the left side the pipe is cold but on the hand brake front brakes side the pipe is hot and it is doing the same exact thing what did you do to fix this I’ve clean the carbs and it actually runs worse now please help with any information you have 17072966824
Its was the One of the Carbs i fix that issue. Now ive move out of state, and having this other problem. Bike idles Awsome but once On gear it doent rev all the way so i have to gear up. Lets say you can rev to 10rms max but on gear ican only go up to 5rpms, then am force to gear up.
Mr. Elf that happened to me. my choke like was stuck and kinked so the choke was on full. it freaked me out because i went through literally everything and then i saw the choke and popped jt back and now bam. perfect

right carb *

i know I am kind of off topic but do anyone know of a good website to watch new movies online ?
@Simon Kash I watch on Flixzone. You can find it on google :)
@Simon Kash lately I have been using FlixZone. You can find it on google :)
From reading your desc all that is really left to do is to check your reeds/cage intake boots for air leaks.
thanks, but the problem was my left carb.
feli lira
Right Carb.. Sorry*
feli lira Clogged? wrong jets or??
redneck4life887 no, was my right carb. ive fix the problem just that i havent uploand a video about it but soon i will, also another video how to install a battery on it.
feli lira Yea i know right carb, thats why i asked wrong jets or clogged carb?

bobby hamilton wat did u do to fix ur problem
bobby hamilton what do you do to fix it

Check the ignition timing for each cylinder seperately.
Clogged main jet! Do a carb tear down and clean then you’ll be just fine. If you’d like to find out pull the choke and you should idle the way you want push choke you’ll idle on one cylinder pull choke you’ll idle and both will fire. It’s a clogged main jet
Looks like u are missing the choke tube connecting the carbs together.
Definitely clean the carbs, dual full tune on them and make sure the carburetors are straight up and down when they’re back on the banshee because the one that’s not puffing smoke that carburetor is completely sideways
My banshee throughs out more smoke on the right pipe but it’s the colder pipe, and the left throughs very little smoke but it the hotter one, help???
Same problems but the hot pipe run good and cold pipe miss fire
What did you end up doing? I got same problem I'm about to do a carb rebuilt
I got the same problem with mine and can’t figure it out help!?
I would try to get ur carbs linked together, so like pull the airbox off and see if the carbs are synced together and have the same amount of gap on both side when idle and giving gas or check spark on the bike
Why does it do this mine is doing the same thing

Just make sure you get the original the Chinese copy is not worth shit if you are short on cash just go with a use one
We just had this same problem trust me before you spend stupid money trying to narrow everything down. Check your jetting first our was jetted too fat so fuel was just dumping into the one cylinder before it had a chance to fire so we re jetted it and now running great.
Problem solved, on of the carbs had and extral hole, patched with a screw and tefflon so extral air was coming into the carb.
Mine runs good at idle, but the left pipe is hotter then the left n the left pipe throws out less smoke then the right. Is this the same issue? You jus fr jetted it and put new jets in, like the main pilot or what?
@@Akronosis helho, I have a same problem. ruclips.net/video/1M66bBH8IUU/видео.html

Its the carb. No smoke means no fuel.
Steve Ringer are you sure because my left pipe doesnt smoke when i pull the choke its smoke
Fadhel Albloushi is the dead cylinder firing? if it is then its not getting fuel and by leaving it running u probably destroyed ur motor. No fuel means no oil
Steve Ringer inside the carb when i press gas its blown gas in carb and the cylinder get hot not dead
Steve Ringer but when press gas there are no power and turn off
slides arent sinced
yeah, they are.
Did you ever figure this out
Yes.. Bad Carburator!
So you just replace the carburetor I am having this trouble sometimes in the left side one
reeds good? maybe one pipe is a liittle clogged

is that a boost bottle you're running and does it give it more hp was thinking of getting one
donnie willis No My Friend it doesn't do anything in my Opinion. I replaced it for the Stock Tube.
Mr. Elf ok thanks bro.
yammy claims it helps with the bottom end..my 2000 banshee is just running the stock tube too.
Why put a cid on a high reving bike like the shee it’s just rev Suicide anyway sounds like your sucking in air from somewhere not good
Crank seal is bad and sucking in transmission oil
99% sure do a leak down test
So what was the problem? I'm having the same issue and don't want to buy something it doesn't need
the problem was my right carb.. i guess the prebious owner made an extra hole, when he removed the torn system. i try patching the hole with many things but the problem was still there, till i decide to be another pare of carbs. and since then my SHEE has never gave me any problems again..

Check the carburator from the side that its not getting Hot Thats was my problem It had an extral hole drilled..
+hamdan alblushi I had the same problem and my jets were to small

it's your piston ring mines did the same thing and replaced it and runs like new
Its was the One of the Carbs i fix that issue. Now ive move out of state, and having this other problem. Bike idles Awsome but once On gear it doent rev all the way so i have to gear up. Lets say you can rev to 10rms max but on gear ican only go up to 5rpms, then am force to gear up.

Clogged jets
Try new reeds
1 1/2 turns out???? you dont know how to count, you turned it basically 4 times, the effective range is 2 not 4 lol
Your slides could be out of wack
Time for a rebuild, dude
