I too have found a new respect for abstract art and understand it can come from within. I feel it is an extremely fragile place. Easy to loose if mindset not where it needs to be. One night I was painting and I felt I had a friend with me! It was beautiful but it hasn’t happened since. I am guarding my art, I have no wish to sell it. It is for me and my healing. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you for your video I really needed to hear this ! I feel a bit stuck in my heart and my art I was trying to find more meaning without having to do a Portraits and still life and landscapes for the rest of my life I’ve started in the last few months to do abstract landscapes which come from within me and I am enjoying that a lot more… it’s good to understand more… love Jung I’m subscribing 🙏💕
Thanks for making this video. This is very similar to my own creative process and it is nice to know I am not alone. I make abstract art so I use color, texture, and gestures to express things because that's more natural to me than drawing objects. Sometimes I include words to get more specific instead of drawing a symbol. I've just always had trouble connecting to symbols and that has made it hard for me to understand a lot of Jung's ideas. Anyway, keep making videos I enjoy them.
Thanks for your comment. I see what you mean, that with abstract art symbols may not appear in the way that we might at first hand think of them, in the way that they appear with drawing. Sounds like you create more from your body and senses than from mental imagery and in this way colors, gestures and textures might be your symbols, connecting you to a symbolic realm through your body.
