I always loved tornadoes and EAS’s. I have a WR120 from Christmas. I still remember the day I went to my grandmas to get it.
wr120 was also my first true weather radio, with cl-100 being my favorite
This is one of my favorite EAS alerts caught ever. Thank you for reuploading this, because I was deeply upset when he deleted this video

You should get the Midland WR120. I would recommend the EAR-10 but they dont make it anymore.
Mine has barely any static ,but its a wireless transmitter so it goes off and on often (like every 3-5 minutes)
@pi243 Is that KEC80? I can easily receive it, but I don’t use it as my main because of how unreliable it is.
@@SouthernWXMediaYes it is Kec80. the most crappy wireless transmitter in the world, and even if it isnt on wireless, the phone line is noisy as heck. at least it gives character to Kec80 like "Kec80 go brrr" and all of that other crap but for a transmitter serving like 5 million people should be as reliable. Kec80 is really bipolar between phoneline and wireless and sometimes around like 6-8 Pm Edt the transmitter will start glitching as it switches over to wireless and after like 30 minutes or so its fine on wireless. Also its bad that Kec80 does this because on one alert which was glitching like heck the EOMs got partially cut due to the transmitter losing signal. Oh well thats my opinion on my main transmitter, Kec80

I remember i had 2 tornado warnings where i lived and one tornado was SUPER CLOSE to me and rotation was to the south or north idk, but these warnings were back in august of 2021, so it was like 1 year ago i believe
2016. saw this video, this and a few of clayrangers (cant believe what happened to him) scenarios got me into eas. forever grateful for this video

The Warning wasn’t issued for his area, since he lives in Union County (where Cranford, NJ is located in). The warning was only issued for Sussex and Warren counties, which are on the other side of the state.

When I was little, I remember this video from the back of my memory from that time for some reason. That memory of watching this video when I was little has just stick with me. And then for another 8 years I didn't really pay attention to the EAS and that stuff, but then earlier this year, I got interested in this. It was one of the first topics of life safety I got interested in my life.

during severe weather, turn the notif sound on so the site makes a noise when something is issued

I have the same weather radio when i heard my weather radio say "this is not a test hurricane ida is about to reach your land" then my power went out and my twin brother Douglas was terrified so i cranked up the generator and the next morning me and my twin brother Douglas saw the damage hurricane ida and left behind those weather radios are useful and i should consider y'all should buy one

I got a triple alarm for a winter storm
I got triple for tornadoes in Florida during hurricane Ian 😀
This right here is what happens when storm trackers/chasers with SKYWARN like me see trouble & will immediately call the National Weather Service directly on the phone or by HAM radio. We send them direct proof of the event taking place. We give them our spotter ID which allows the EAS to be triggered with the specific tag "Confirmed Tornado." For so & so location. If you receive a tornado warning or severe thunderstorm warning more than likely it's because a storm spotter/chaser has seen something 2/3 of the time.
You will receive these warning through your phones, radios, or through TV.

i remember this i was 9 we went to go see the new space jam new legacy then when we left a message came up and said the national weather service in hunter-don county has issued a sever thunderstorm watch my dad had the truck with the touchscreen and then i was asleep them at 12:00 am my dad woke me up and said buddy there is a tornado warning and when i looked at the tv the tv said eas details then the last second it said tornado warning then we went to the bathroom because i was in a aparment visiting my grandma hen the alert cane on agaain then said tornado warning lifted i was in highlands nj
