im a hufflepuff and i still love dark academia. houses are not (only) about your personality its more about values

ohhh I personally love to see mixed aesthetics, especially when they're so different! cottagecore is all flowery, has all the colors you see in nature and that connection with plants and animals, while dark academia is represented by dark tones and the academic, centered lifestyle wich I think contrasts perfectly.. I can only imagine how unique your vibe must be!!

I'm grateful, in moments like these, for an insatiable appetite for knowledge - My a-levels, however, made me want to smash a face-shaped crater into my desk. I love literature, psychology fascinates me, and sociology is something we're all innately aware of, but I convinced myself that I wasn't the scholar that my teachers believed me to be, and so I wasted two years of my life at that blasted school.
Now, though, I'm working towards an honours in natural sciences. I was afraid that my enthusiasm and zeal for learning had been totally quashed, but it's flourishing again, for the first time in almost three years.
If you're sitting listening to this music, wishing you could fall in love with the pursuit of knowledge again, know that you can. Read up on (or watch content about) studies surrounding the 'secrets' of productivity, and information retention, and writing stamina, and you should find an educational path to suit your needs and aspirations. I wish you all the very best.
I'm attending korean language lectures at university after two gap years after high school. I feel super demotivated, even tho I like the language a lot. thank you so much for your words. they make me want to work harder

I fully agree that the education system is questionable at the best of times, and not nearly enough emphasis is placed on the importance of introspection, and of perusing the paths ahead that call out to the individual for reasons beyond potential income, or what one's parents did when put through the same process.
Learning that almost everyone on the planet is, in fact, flying by the seat of their pants, is at first utterly terrifying to young people who grew up under the assumption that adults simply 'knew things'.
I'm now personally at a stage where this notion brings me both terror and, paradoxically, immense comfort -
We're all in this together, like it or lump it.
