Hi, I didn't apply wax on this specific project but it turned out perfect. It actually depends on the texture of the model. I applied wax in some of my projects please check out the videos. Thanks
Whats the sealant you use, i wanted to do a parceling model my mother made a long time ago and was thinking of using the 10 to 1 ratio of conola oil i beleive it is but not sure, need a release agent that wont mess up my mother's peice of art
In this specific project I did not use any release agent and it works fine for me but in my other projects I've used castor oil. Lots of choices in the shop there's wax as well.
@@pamcarluk i was thinking of using the latex and latex hardener for it, the piece means alot to me, so i looked it up says use oil on porcelain pieces, so i will try out on smaller peices and work my way up because its kinda in that medium range where it can pass as a larger peice
Classic tibia- remember to keep your latex molds out of the sun! They deteriorate in the sun. Also do not use petroleum products on them because they ruin the latex.
Hi yah thanks for watching my video. I didn't do any preparation before I applied the latex rubber mould it was easy to take the rubber out when it's fully dry but some people they use release agent it's entirely up to you.

Hello, what do you add to latex to make it thick?
Hi, I use liquid latex thickener.
Any tips on cleaning brushes afterwards?
Sorry, no tips on this. Best thing to do is to use cheap brushes or old ones that you can just bin afterwards.
do you use the mixture of latex and latex thickener for each coat? or just the first coat?
I use it for each coat.
@@pamcarluk ok cause on your lighthouse video you used regular latex on first coat i think
You're right. Both resulted in a good outcome.
hi. before applying latex on model, do you apply wax on model o remove mold from original model easyly? what kind of wax do you use> thanks.
I don't use wax. I just wash the mold with plain water before using.
How many coats do you apply? Your work is beautiful, thank you.
15 to 20 coats. Thanks
Do you add filling material to the latex before applying it or do you bake it?
No, I just add some thickener
@@pamcarluk what is thickeneer,
@@pamcarluk Or is it starch?
Does the latex mold stretch when left empty?

Can this latex rubber be used on a cement statue to replicate it?
Yes you can use it for cement. Thank you for watching.
@@pamcarluk what I mean is can I apply this latex to a cement statue to create a latex mold.
@@MrGonzales1982 You will need to seal the cement statue first. Dry cement is porous, which will soak up the first layer of latex to varying degrees.
@@skateboardingjesus4006 thank you , that makes sense. Do you have any recommendations on what's best to use for the task if sealing it.?
@@MrGonzales1982 yes you can but make sure to apply some form of release agent.
You not need to put a mould release on it before putting latex rubber on it?
You can apply mould release if you want. Some of my projects I did use release agent but for this specific project I didn't, but it works just fine.
How many times can u re use the molds? Kind regards
It will last you years and years if you will look after your mold.
