  • 8 surprising key discoveries ✌️
We all care about what others think of us to some extent. It’s natural to want to be liked and accepted by those around us. But when this desire for approval becomes all-consuming, it can have a negative impact on our mental health and well-being. We start to lose ourselves in the pursuit of validation, constantly seeking external approval and ignoring our own needs and desires 😬
If you can relate to this, then you're not alone. I definitely feel this and that’s why I started this journey of trying to create a more authentic and fulfilling life, free from the constraints of others' opinions.
In this video, I’ll be sharing tips and strategies from my own journey on how to not care about what others think. I'll cover everything from setting healthy boundaries and prioritizing your own well-being to the importance of shadow work, identifying your triggers, and focusing on what you can control.
One of the key takeaways is that it's okay to say "no." Saying "no" is a healthy and necessary part of setting boundaries and prioritizing your well-being. It's important to remember that you have the right to say "no" to things that do not serve you or align with your values. After all, your own well-being is just as important as anyone else's.
In this video, I share my journey of 365 days of not caring what others think, and the life-changing impact it had on me. I'll be revealing the strategies and mindset shifts that helped me break free from seeking external validation (mostly), and how you can do the same. Get ready to be inspired and empowered to live an intentional life, on your own terms.

Do you care so much too what others think of you?

Too an extent but the older, I get it seems to be less and less.

@@MDobri-sy1ce Too true. It has taken years, but the feeling of being completely unencumbered by the thoughts of others is so liberating. To be able to go through life without concern of what others may think is one of the best realizations that come with age, especially when one considers that half the time what others think is the thought and creation of one's own mind. And, these same people aren't wasting any time considering what you may think of them. So, Seve, to have learned this valuable life lesson at such a young age is quite the achievement. Well done, you.

I don't want to care and I am better as now I am 49. But still if we do not respond in a way that people want, they don't validate me. Many times people don't want to care, but if it is your workplace or some other places where you are tied to, you have to pretend to make others happy. I am not good at. So eventually I have to leave that place. Bc if you can't be by yourself then what's the point?

This is so relatable because I'm going through a similar journey right now. I came across the quote "Your idea of me is not my responsibility to live up to" and that really got me thinking. I started reading about habits, how to reduce procrastination, stoicism and philosophy. The saying no part is definitely difficult, but helps with focusing on your own mental health too. Saying no to something you're also saying yes to something else. Communication is key here, like you said, explain why you're saying no or speaking about your wishes and intentions makes everything easier. Your videos are very helpful and inspiring, thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing, the part of not caring about the imperfections was huge for me. I spend countless hours completing refilming because I missed something up. I’m so focused on perfection which your video helped me realize I believe it’s due to me not feeling like my words are actually valuable or I’m not enough. Looks like I need to do some shadow work!! Thank you again

Thanks for the great comment, Damon! 🙌 Yeah I feel that too sometimes, like "I'm not even good at this yet, so why should I talk about it to others". But always I go back to realize that my channel is also leaving notes for my future self, so I can document my life as I go. I'll never be perfect in this journey so every little piece of information I can share from it that could be helpful for others or interesting for me in the future, I want to capture. Good luck on your RUclips journey, shadow work is so important if you want to do this long-term 😉

I choose to live my life alone and always have a strong me.....alone you have more strength, peace, power, happyness......happyness starts inside you and not with extern factors like status, money, material things or people.....people always have an opinion reflected by their mirror of live .
    Says nothing about you.
The more people around you the more expectations, talk about others, lying, frustrations, negativity, jealousy, double standards, sneakyness etc.....
Better to walk alone than with the crowd going to the wrong direction.

Not caring is easier if you are not surrounded by people much on a daily basis. For example, if you go to work or being in a church bible study group - it is not possible that others won't affect you.
This can be done when you are in contact of very few people in life. In some places, this is possible only. So if you don't have many people in life, this is lot easier.
    Great another video!

    • @rachelk8661
      @rachelk8661 Год назад +1

In such cases i think we can say that we are in control of HOW much of other people we allow ourselves to get affected by. It also depends on how many people among those who surround you have a significant impact on you. So i think it might be more taxing or maybe even confusing but once a habit, it'll be like second nature.

You should never care much for what others think. Otherwise, you'd be buying into their prejudices, biases and hang-ups, and helping to validate and perpetuate them. Hold true to your own values, and live your own life.

    Yes! YES! A 100% YES
Even while waiting for the person to change, we hold ourselves back, and we can be completely and absolutely unaware of it. We really should know ourselves to the core, to be able to do well in ANYTHING, be it in career, relationships, or anything else. Only by knowing ourselves completely can we be there for others a 100% .
Feeling independent and being capable of independence is really, absolutely life changing, you realise what you deserve and what you don't, what you need and what you don't need, what you can do and what you can't.

Hi Seve! Another great video ☺  As a fellow RUclipsr whose first language is also not English (I speak Norwegian and German) I find the not-scripting part super interesting! Do you have any tips on doing that without drifting completely off the topic? 😃
