You know your'e getting old when the tractors you learnt the job on, are now 'Classics'.

Interesting to read everyones comments on the 345. This tractor belongs to a very good friend of mine and i helped him restore this to the condition it is today. This treatment isnt for every tractor, but the issue we had here was elements of the tractor had to be painted. The wheels had been painted badly by hand and only the outside face. It had the wrong wings fitted (the taller 465 ones). He fell on a pair of leyland 344 wings been blue these had to be painted. Then the issue came with the front tinwork been far to nice and orginal to paint so this was the middle ground to make everything match up. Also take into account the thick layer of polish applied for the show to stop people hands marking the paint work.

Thanks for telling us the story of this restoration. I can see there was a lot of care and attention put in to this project. Well done.

Really clever display at the beginning with the MF and plough.
Looked a great show and one I will have to find some time to attend. As always great video and narration 👍

Great filming as always. It's such a difficult decision to sand and repaint or leave as is. Anything that preserves like oiling or a lacquer has to be a good thing. I like both looks.

Good video 👍 i admire the tractors restored to concourse condition but they are so much better than they were originally as unfortunately i can remember some of them new 🙄😳 i do like original condition with a wipe over with a n oily rag 👌

Another excellent video this weekend. Watching is like a trip down memory lane.
I remember the Massey fert spinner shown as we had 1 back in the late 60's and early 70's. It went off as scrap after the shed it was stored in collapsed during a storm, crushing it and some other implements. I remember it being replaced by a new Massey Ferguson 11 8 cwt capacity spinner after that
The Nuffield stand also brought back 1970's memories as both neighbours on either side of us ran them.
The small farm had a 4/65 and the larger dairy ran several Nuffields from the 4/25 up to larger models which I can't remember before changing to International 74 series tractors then on to early Deutz after that. Your videos are great for rekindling old memories of tractors from days gone by.

Great video, thanks! About the Vendeuvre, they were built in France, and later together with Allis Chalmers they built model FD3, FD4 & FD5, maybe other models too. It was a Vendeuvre engine tractor in Allis Chalmers bodywork for the European market (1962-65). I had an FD5, but the engine wasn't good, so we replaced it with a Perkins from an old combine. The later model (1965) also had a Perkins engine from the factory. The 8F/4R transmission was very good. The oil pressure and lifting equipment were also very poor, almost every 3 years you had to replace the (Bosch) oil pump. It was a strong pulling machine with a turning circle of a 6 cylinder. Now the tractor has been in a shed for over 40 years waiting for restoration. Maybe I will find time to restore it, I can retire in 5-10 years. I think Vendeuvre was bankrupt in 1963 or 1964. (it has been translated with Google, because I don't speak English)

Thanks for the Vendeuvre info. It is very interesting. I'm planning an Allis Chalmers special at some point in the future so I must include this tractor.

Great video. Couldn’t make it to Malvern this year… haven’t been since 2020 just before Covid Lockdown started in ROI. Glad to see the footage of this year’s show. I think that MF135 at £5,100 was about right. Keep up the good work.

Great video. I’m not a fan of a working clothes tractor sprayed with cleat coat. But I have been known to rub a bit of oil on them , if not rusted badly. Oil goes away after a bit and never looks shiny like clear coat.
My son has a Ford 1210 compact tractor, 4x4, cab and rear snowblower. Same as those two 1210 that were put together in the video
Have you ever seen in person any of the Ferguson tractors that went to the South Pole in 57/58. ?
    Thanks again. Great video.

Hi Noel. Thanks for your thoughts on the best way to preserve an unrestored tractor. I've seen two of the South Pole tractors. One was here in the UK. I think it was at a museum in Coventry but I might be confused. The other was an unexpected encounter at the MOTAT museum in Auckland, New Zealand.

As generation die off. Younger people have no interest. The engineers. Did a fine job with pencil and paper. No auto cad. To go there work for them.
