Adding a quit button can be done on a per game basis (afaik but I'm far from an expert here). For anyone wondering how, press F4 on keyboard that attached to pi and run jtest by typing: jstest /dev/input/js0 Press the button you want to use as a quit button and take note in jtest which number changes from 'off' to 'on' (for example button 8) Open up game ROM .uae file using Notepad++ on your PC (or do using Filezilla connecting to pi), and change this line: button_for_quit=16 To the button that changed from 'off' to 'on' in jtest. My example is button 8, so I would change the line to the following: button_for_quit=8 Save the .uae file and copy it in to Amiga ROM folder on pi which should be located here: /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/amiga Reboot pi for good measure and that's it :) You now have a quit button for that game. Also, thanks ETAPrime for the vids!! 5 of them have made my arcade cab build a million times better. Cheers!
ETA, I really like your tutorials, like ever... :-) Now everyone trying this and getting a black screen on start... read this: The problem are missing Kickstart files inside the WHDBOOTER directory, you have to place the right kickstart files inside this directory, then it will work. I discovered during Amiga script install several "files not found" messages, that could be the problem. Sorry, I had to re-edit this post several times for tracking down the problem...
It's not exactly what you asked for, but I fitted a cool illuminated power button to the flirk case for my retropie. It switches the machine on. Pressing it when the pie is running and it launches a little bit of script to shut the pie down properly. I'm sure you could set up a button to do what ever you liked.
*NOTE* the script does not currently include the kick roms you need to run anything. This accounts for the black screen I was having as well as other I would assume. You need to create a folder Amiga in retropie bios and place the kickstart roms in the form kickXX.rom. XX is the number remember no periods.
After doing the basic install, and installing the amiberry when i did the reboot, nothing is working in my retropie, the icon in the desktop doesn´t work and inside retropie nothing works, a can´t enter any menu or game, what can i do?
Problem I have with games like PP Hammer because I can’t access a virtual keyboard I can’t use F1 to select keys in game and games like Lotus 3 require letters etc to skip a manual check. Shame as my spectrum games have a virtual keyboard pressing the select button
Exit is by pressing button 16 on your ps 3 controller... If you look/edit the uae files somewhere along the file you will see a quit = button 16 ish.. I believe, that you could edit that number to suite tour joystick..
QUIT option can be easly setup during any game via gui (F12) in amiberry. there is option for that in "input". mine is setup to enter gui after pressing START and quit a game after pressing SELECT. works perfect ;) thank you for video. amiga is my love since always ;)
Hi, yes I found this too, but how to save this option for all the games in on time ? I select button 0 to quit and it work but after I restarted the game my changed are reset :( n.b: I use Ultimate Amiga for Raspberry Pie 3 v1.0 [Update Pack 5]

I installed the amiberry from bios. Then drag and dropped some amiga games in the amiga folder trough wifi. Then i start retropie and open up the amiga folder. Start bubble bobble and black screen.. Tried giana sisters, black screen.. All games are black screen. And some people talk about kick roms? I don't have any kick roms.
My main issue so far (I'm new to this!) is that I can't move from one disc to another using either Amiberry or aeforall. I'm going to try this method tonight to see if it helps, fingers crossed! I really want to play Shadow of the Beast II but can't get passed the introduction :(
So, I finally got this to work, and I can play the games that came with it just fine... however, this doesn't tell me at all, how to properly import new games. I can get WHDLoad games just fine, but what to do; unzip the zipped files or not? Does the extension of the zip files need changing, etc.
You has to change output. Amiga works to 50 hz not 60hz if you wanna have the best quality of frame rate. You also has to play on real TV, and no any monitor. To change output, you go in file manager and then type: sudo raspi-config and there you go in advance option, I don t remember very well e then you find set output. Change to 50hz.
Installed amiberry and put the roms in the Amiga folder. When I go to enter disks in the drives the box comes up with a list of emulators instead of games and I can't find a way of changing it.... anyone have any idea what's going on with That?
any way this can work with uae4all in retropie? tried googling it but only found how to set up an A1200 with hardrive and then run whdload through workbench, which is a fuss

You have to change the configuration file in your raspberry pi, for this you will have to access your sd card in your pc and open the config.txt file located in the boot directory then follow this www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/config-txt/video.md
Is it ok to do a basic install after you've fully set up your Pie. this includes attract mode. I was to update from 4.4 but I'm nervous it will break something.

I followed video exactly. Script install menu shows up in retropie settings, ran it. Restarted system. The Amiga logo doesn't show up in Emulation Station. It installed all the directories for whdloader, demo roms etc still no Amiga logo. Do you know why it's not showing up? I'm running newiest version of retropie
What is up with the overscan settings on... everything you're capturing?! Also, on Mac and Linux, it's simply a case of opening a terminal and typing... ssh pi@retropie or ssh pi@{whatever the IP address or hostname of the retropie is} ...and pressing return. On Windows I honestly prefer MobaXterm to Putty, you sorta kinda get a full Linux system running inside your Windows session which lets you use thre Mac/Linux way of connecting (ssh from the command line) as well as setting up a preset (or saving a session as they call it) I might give this autosetup script a go. I've taken to handcrafting .uae files and saving them in the ~/RetroPie/roms/amiga folder, so this might save me some bother. Two Amiga menus could be a bit weird, though in my setup, my games (or at least the ones on floppy) show up more than once (once as the ADFs and once as the .uae files after handcrafting the config files) But again, I might try that method. And yes, it would be nice to map F12 to a joypad button, probably the Menu button on an XBOX joypad. Also, shouldn't Boris be using The Who song Boris The Spider as an intro... oh wait, he'd get done by the Copyright Police... ah well...
when you load a game press tab on your keyboard and select the option for controls for all games scroll down to the add credits option and press return... now press the key that you have selected for hotkey
I downloaded an image already setup and all wotking nicely, but i have come across a problem. I cant get any of my wireless logitech, microsoft or asus mice to work at all, my wireless cheap Xenta keyboard works fine. If anyone knows of a decent keyboard or mouse or combo unit good for amiga or retro gaming please let me know. All files are on the SD card, no usb device is used for storage If anyone has any ideas please let me know

I've followed your instructions several times, starting fresh each time. Every things looks as you show in the video. However, none of the included games play successfully. After selecting the game ... infinite black screen. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

You can edit your config to map a button to quit the emulator. There should be something in the faq part and if not it will be on the Facebook page

Pre-installed games work but i get a red & black screen when i add more games?

If the games are on a usb stick, it’s loading the first disk but I’m not able to load other disks, any idea how to fix this?

Quit can be done the normal way. Start + Select on Joy, this works even if the game/uae crashes
Actually - I had Select as a hotkey so not sure if it's Hotkey + Start or Hotkey + Start + Select

it works from adf but not the demo games that followed the install,

The links to the kickroms in the sh file that you run, are not downloading anymore. So the person whom make this, should update it.
