According to Hindu teaching, many Hindu deities became human for the purpose of teaching humans and bringing them to wisdom and enlightenment. Enlightenment is different from salvation of course, but I want to point out that God becoming man is not a belief unique to Christianity. Besides that, I think you did well putting forth your ideas.

Well God becoming human in Hinduism is different from Christianity because, the avatars in Hinduism are limited to the ages they appear. For example Krishna doesn't exist outside the dwapara Yuga, although his ultimate reality as Vishnu still exists. In a linear sense of time God descending as human is not prescriptive but rather generative. In a reincarnational world view God will ascend and descend but in a linear sense of it there is only one reality of God becoming man. In a Yuga Rama or Krishna brings about the dharma restoration but at the end of it a new cycle with a new world order emerges requiring a new avatar. Kalki is anticipated in this new world order ushering in judgement and reordering of a new universal order. Where everything is destroyed and creation begins anew. Some believe Kalki's horse will stamp the earth with its right foot, causing the tortoise which supports the world to drop into the deep. Then the gods will restore the earth once again to its former purity. Salvation isn't eternal or offered ultimately in a cycle of good and evil. Jesus exists in this reality, he descended, died and rose again. He is restoring the world order without destroying it and creating once again. He offers salvation and eternal life here and now which is realised in his death and resurrection and is actualised in his return.

@@Elijah.19 Thank you so much for your very educated and incredibly brilliant reply! I’ve never seen a comment like that here on RUclips. I will need to read it a few more times. Excellent writing. Something I would hope for from a comparative religions professor. Very thought-provoking. Wonderful.
