Hopefully someone will mass produce them as I find making them by hand is tiresome. I'm looking into the feasibility of getting a small batched machined and passing them on at cost price as a sort of beta test. This won't happen any time soon but if it does I'll post an update here Thanks gor commenting
Funny you should say that. I have made a sort of Trangia mess tin storm cooker that incorporates wind shield with pot stand. Will upload soon. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@EpicureanHikers Oooh! I am excited to see that. I prefer windshields to be seperate from the stand simply because I have not found a way to make it work without too much fiddling, compromising efficiency, allowing for multiple pot sizes, etc. etc. ... So I'd like to see what you got! I really like this stand and appreciate that you showed the instructions to make it. Hope the aluminum holds up to the heat 👍
I hope that someone will make the combined potstand and windshield commercially as I'm limited in using hand tools. Besides, I need to field test it for a good few weeks just to see if it works and if any modifications come to mind. As for the one in this video I have been toying with a short run laser cut or something if there is any interest.
Thanks for another great video. Love your ideas and your recipes are yum 😁 I cook that Chorizo and Potatoe stew at least once a week. Beans are next..👍
any chance you want to sell one of these already made?

I like it. Also like you cook kit setup. 😊
Thanks. I've got quite a few different ones.
It's relaxing to watch outdoor cooking, and I like your recipes
Thank you so much
Love that had cutting machinery.
Simple hand tools. Can do a lot.
Very cool! I will have to build one.
Let us know how you get on if you do build one.
That looked well tasty and the stand was great. Even better if could have incorporated a wind shield.

@EpicureanHikers ooh, make me one!
The aluminium will be just fine. I can't see it getting that hot that it would melt but it may distort as the stress is relieved. Time will tell.

Thanks. Glad to be of assistance. I scaled down a lot of recipes I like for hiking but like you they've become a staple.
