Asalamualikom I just got my order from Al Amanah. just wanted to say that May Allah truelly give you ajr for creating a product and selling it in a way that is pleasing to Allah. The whole time before going home i was just so excited to get my clothes and candy, ahahha. But subhanAllah Allah puts so much barakh in things that are made to please him and you HAVE TO CONTINUE striving for Allah in this way, dont get destracted or fooled by other businesses, what you have is gold worth and I can truelly see that just from reading the dua card before even looking at the clothes. It is actually normal for a new business to be in debt for the first few years, that only means it gets better in time. Just remember Amazon was 15 years in debt since their start, After those 15 years they started to make profit. So hang in on there. Inshallah you will be bigger than Amazon

May Allah put barakah in your business. Something that many people don’t understand when it comes to money is the value of barakah. You may have even have only £100.00 in your account but the barakah Allah will put in that £100 because it is halal is something we find hard to grasp.

We are in Debt! The Dignity of a Believer is in his Self-Sufficiency from People. Wherever we are the City life will succumb is into the shackles of debt amidst the rat race. Its better to keep running a business and eventually sell everything you own and move to the Countryside or Remote Villages and start growing your food and raising your own cattle Bidhnillahi ta'ala May Allah make it easy for all of us and rectify the affairs of Muslims in oppressed lands. Starting a business comes with challenges don't be discouraged. Review the story of Abdurahman ibn Awf ra and how he gave up everything for Allah swt sake and Allah made him really rich(i understand money isn't ur entire goal, but still an amazing story)

some tips :)), that my teacher recommended for us - to do more istighfaar (increases provision) and read this dua :
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزْنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ
وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ
O Allāh I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being overpowered by men
Assalam. Here’s a solution for the high shipping expenses/customs , the following applies for US orders. You can create a business entity in the US to import products into the USA and ship from US Warehouses (third party warehousing and shipping)
Or
You can have a local distributor in the USA who will buy from you in bulk. The local distributor may buy from you in large quantities bringing in another source of revenue.

Inshallah it’ll all get sorted out. I wish I was there to talk to the suppliers, cuz I know they can try to lie and give you higher prices just because you look or sound foreign. They even do it to ME, and I’m Turkish but because I look “foreign” to them they try to give me high prices. So I always bargain and bargain until I get lower price or just go to someone else. They’ve become so sinful in my own country I cannot believe. I’m so disappointed. May Allah guide us to the right path, Ya rabb don’t let us violate other people’s Haqq.

Should you guys be paying the customs? I thought the receiver always pays the customs because it depends on where you are based? I had ordered something from China and had to pay the customs myself. Also isn't it common for ecommerce stores to charge customers for shipping?
Yes but I think he mentioned they are covering those costs because they choose to do so. They want their customers to have the best experience

You know businesses don’t cover the duties and tax. If you get tied into it like u think people are buying it from you because you’re you and not because of the product and brand / brand purpose, then you’ll be taking the loss. Community is one thing but business is business, can’t run if u not got the funds unless ur a charity. If the abayas good, they’ll pay it happily just like they do when they order any shoes online - even moreso because it’s a muslim business with a positive mission.
If ur mission is to help people wear ur specific abayas fair enough but otherwise let people support you and your business so ur mission can run.
Now we know that DHL have those dirty hidden charges. The snakes 🐍

Also the website is not good if I am honest. I understand having the goal of helping the ummah, but making money is not haram. With a lot of money you can do a lot more for the ummah.
